Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I'm trying to re-install firefox, but get error"Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."

Try rolling your computer back to an earlier date. Assuming you have created a restore point, open your Control Panel, select System Recovery, and Restore to Previous Settings. You will not lose any files but may lose recently installed programs including Viruses.

Firefox accidently deleted during system restore

You will need to download and reinstall firefox. Also, it's usually a good idea to use the latest version as there are usually patches and security updates with new releases.

Hope that helps!

Acer notebook aspire belonging to a friend wont go online or let him do anything says firefox is still running and needs to beclosed but when it is closed it still wont do anything.

I would try to 'restore' the computer to an earlier date when it did logon to the Internet, and install the latest version of Internet Explorer rather than Firefox. Try to restore to a date that was before Firefox was installed and go from there with installing a current browser.

If you need help on this, look up 'restore' on the 'help' menu on the 'start' menu.

Good luck with this repair.

How do i restore firefox as my browser?

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Open Firefox in Safe Mode, from your programs menu or by typing "firefox -safe-mode" in Start->Run. run_safe_mode.gif
  2. Choose what you want to be brought back to its original settings by checking one of the following options:
    safe_mode_panel.gif
    • Disable all add-ons: Disables all added themes and extensions.
    • Reset toolbars and controls: Removes any made toolbar customization.
    • Reset bookmarks to Firefox defaults: Replaces your bookmarks with the default bookmarks.
    • Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults: Restores the default Options and preference settings and resets the default theme. It also changes back to default all the entries in the about:config page.
    • Restore default search engines: Adds back all of the default search engines (Google, Yahoo, eBay, Creative Commons, Answers.com, and Amazon.com fixya.com,ehow.com) , without removing any added search engines.

Now everything should be back to default, as if you just installed a new fresh copy of Firefox.
