How to adjust front speaker level on vsx-d308 pioneer surround sound ?

Did you use to be able to turn up the front levels and now you can't?
Or is it the first time you have installed it?
If it previously did then clearly there is a fault.
However if not. Then like many receivers the front volume is simply controlled by the main volume control. If this is the case then you need to adjust the other channels to give you the best sound. The best way to do this is get one of those THX DVD discs. On the menu to the disc you will find a setting for setting up the sound THX screen. It will produce a test tone for each speaker. You then adjust it for the best sound quality. This way the sound field will sound great for your living room and Dolby movies will have you jumping out of your seat when an unexpected sound appears on the left channel and voices won't get drowned out by noises from the back.

What's the best tv settings for a element elefw504a

That's a difficult question to answer. The term "best" is subjective. But, just to help you get started, I find that a "dynamic" picture setting with noise reduction turned up to high is best for ME. I turned the audio to "surround" and adjusted the bass to 85 and the treble to 100. Looks and sounds wonderful! Remember, when adjusting settings, try to wait at each option for a minute or 2 and really watch/listen to that option to see if you like it. I was able to hear a BIG difference in the speakers when gping through all the audio settings. Just see what feels right to you!

Hope I could be of help! Good luck and have FUN! Setting up your new TV is one of the little simple pleasures in life!

Can't change from MONO to AUTO mode

Hello
Can't make sound from mono to auto is your problem I thinks and posts this solution.
Hit the "Menu" button and surf through, come to "Sound Adjust" window.
The settings allow you to change and adjust sound in your TV. There are Bass, Treble and Balance control to adjust to your individual taste.
To adjust them
1. Press Menu button.
2. Press UP or DOWN button to select the desired item.
3. Press => or 4. Press EXIT button when finished.
When adjusting the parameter of "Balance" control, always set it to mid position to get stereo sound from both speakers. If it is set to any extreme end, there will be no output from the speaker of that side, and will hear as mono.
If you press "0" [Zero] button, you can reset the sound settings to it Factory settings.
To select 'Streo mode;
1. Press "Menu" button.
2. Press UP or DOWN button to select MTS [Multi-channel Telivision Sound].
3. Press => or [The ON AIR arrowtells you if a broadcast is in stereo AND/OR contains the SAP.
Press "Exit" button when finished.

Keep the TV in stereo mode to get the best sound quality. The sound will work in stereo

mode even if a certain broadcast is in mono sound only.

Choose the mono setting to reduce excessive noise on a certain channel or broadcast.
Selecting SAP will allow you to hear an alternative soundtrack, if one is available.

Set audio equalizer on amplifier

the best sound will always be the one you like to listen to.

it is impossible to tell you what to do.
it depends on space, furnishings, materials, program,

but most of all what you like.

set the eq flat then
play something you really like
adjust the eq until you are happy, then enjoy the sound.

WANT THE BEST SOUND

Sound, like food, is a matter of taste and tolerance. No one can tell you what loudness will sound best to you. Run through the prescribed setup and adjust the volume for each speaker so it sounds the same to you and it will be close to its 'best' when you play music or other programs.
