I have an American Standard (right height) beig in color. Bowl has a large brown stain near the bottom.

Probably a mineral buildup. Pour a bucket of water into the bowl so that the bowl flushes but does not refill with water. In other words you want as little water in the bowl as possible so it wont dilute the cleaner. Use an acid cleaner like lime away in the bowl. Let it set for several hours or over night,. then scrub with toilet brush. Lime away is fairly safe but try not to splash it on your clothes or yourself. Wash it away if you do.
You may have to repeat to finish the job.

Whirlpool dishwasher model GU2275XTVQ1 cleans poorly on top only

Check your hose, pump and all water lines for lime scale build up. Sometimes if you dont use some kind of lime away product every few months your machine will/can get lime scale build up from hard water causing it to not properly dispense the water through out your machine. You can also try to run a load with no dishes and no soap but put just lime away in your machine. It might just clear any clogs you might have or starting to get.

I have a top loader Speed Queen and I had it just serviced. I use Bio Classic Soap and Softner. I wash my dark clothes inside out but the white spots still appear on my dark clothes. Ihave diluted the...

Vinegar is good for cleaning scale off of appliances. I would us more then 10 ml. It won't hurt anything. Have you always used the Bio Classic Soap without any problem. You may want to try another kind or dissolve it in hot water before adding the clothes and switching to the water temp you normally use. Do neighbors also have this problem with the lime water.

Side by side ice maker tray has water stains

Use Lime Away. It helped with mine as the white spots were due to lime in the water. Be careful not to get the lime away on your marble, stainless steel sink, etc. as it will cause discoloration. I found out the hard way. Good luck.

It's a possibility that you iron steam making elements are caked with lime and possibly the steam holes as well.

Purchase some "Lime Away" and dilute it 50/50 and pour it into your steam iron (drain all the old water out first and leave the iron unpluged) let sit for an hour or so and drain out, fill it again with clear water shake and drain out do this a couple of time then turn on the steam and see if it works properly, use the first time on an old towel to be sure all the chemical has been rinced out. Good Luck.

West Bend 33600 heats to 178 degrees

Im sure one of the thermostats is a high heat thermostat but more than likely the element is covered with lime, I would put some diluted "Lime Away" and let it soak for a few hours then drain it and run clear water through it three of four times.

If this doesn't work for you then I would change the high heat thermostat.

The reservoir tubes are clogged so the water doesn't flow through

If this maker was mine I would put a 50/50 solution of "Lime Away" and water in the reservoir and let it sit all day, then I would put two or three pots of clear water through it followed by a soultion of a tablespoon of baking sode disolved in water I would let this sit for 15 minutes or so followed by a couple or three more pots of clear water, that should do it. Don't worry it wont hurt you it will be so diluted and neutralized by the baking soda, it couldn't possibly be harmful..

If this works please respond.

There are a few products that will remove mineral buildup.
Vinegar - slow but it works. Let it sit overnight if filling a reservoir.
If it's on a surface saturate layers of paper toweling with vinegar and place on the surface and let it sit overnight. You may need multiple applications depending on the buildup.
Any 'De-Liming' product (containing Hydrochloric Acid) - Faster, but can discolor metal surfaces if left on too long. Wear plastic gloves when working with these products. If filling a reservoir you may want to dilute it with water (50/50) and leave for an hour. You can make a stronger dilution and/or use it full strength, but be careful... De-Liming Acids foam when they hit lime buildup, so be sure to keep the surrounding area protected or do it in a sink.
Keep in mind it will discolor metal so be careful if putting it in a stainless steel sink. Always rinse and flush with clear, cold water immediately after cleaning. Vinegar is the safe way, but takes time and multiple applications :)
