What size furnace do I need to replace my old lenex model number g20qq3 4G 125 4
If we're talking physical size, modern units won't be the same, you could essentially look at any manufacturer's dimensions and see what gets closest. For BTU's it's better to base it on the size of your duct system. Generally, or just unprofessionally, lets say 8,000 btu per register. If you have 10 registers in the house, an 80kbtu unit would do nicely. 16 registers - 120kbtu. They max out around 150kbtu. However, I highly recommend you have a professional do it all. If you do something wrong, you could very easily kill yourself or anyone in the house. The risks are huge; installations should be done by licensed contractors under a permit. Plus, contractors should know all of the new energy saving tricks, they could save you tons by changing your system altogether.
