That is most likely a failed door switch or its mount may be loose, misaligned or broken.
It's most often caused by opening the door while it's cooking instead of hitting "Stop" first, or slamming the door.
It would either be the top or bottom switch, whichever one has the thicker wires, probably black wires.
(Sorry, but I don't have the wiring diagram on this model and the door sense switch [not a suspect] will have thinner, more colorful wires).
See these help files first:

INtermatic Model ST01 timer is to be used in a 3 way switch arrangement. The unit works in one switch position but fails to allow the light to turn on in the other switch position. Several other switches...

ST01C timer replaces one 3-way switch and the other 3-way switch remains.
The ST01C timer does not work exactly like a 3-way switch.
When the timer blue and red wires are connected together, they reverse whatever program is in effect.
When the timer is wired for single-pole, the red wire is capped off. When timer is wired for 3-way, the red wire is used to reverse the timer, thus causing the 3-way effect.
So if timer is ON, and red and blue wires are put together, the timer turns OFF.
That's why the remaining 3-way switch has to be rewired.
The remaining 3-way switch is rewired so it will connect and disconnect the red and blue wires, causing the timer to reverse program each time, and creating 3-way effect.
Other requirements of ST01C is that the black wire must connect to Hot wire, and the blue wire must always connect to Load. This means that you have to correctly pick which 3-way switch to replace, where the hot wire from breaker arrives.
Open following link for wiring diagram showing how to wire for 3-way:
http://waterheatertimer.org/ST01C-program.html#ST01C
All 3-way timers require rewiring second 3-way switch to create 3-way effect.

INTALLED A INTERMATIC TIMER AND EVERYTHING IS WORKING WITH THE EXPTION ON THE TIMER ITSELF. DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGESTIONS

1) First suggestion is for you to add a comment and say what model number Intermatic timer you are working with.
If this is a box timer, then model number shows on inside of door.
In any case, we are guessing at your problem without knowing model number.
2) If this is a box-type timer, main thing folks do wrong is reverse the line and load wires.
Line wires come from the breaker box, and Load wires go to the fan, light, motor.
Line wires have to be connected to the clock terminals or the dial will not rotate.
The clock terminals are usually visible as small white wires connect to two of the terminals. Again, this is dependent on model number.

Add a comment for more free help.
Also take advantage of fixya phone service.
For a price, expert speaks with you over phone while you work on timer or any do-it-yourself project.
Fixya is always less expensive than a service call.

F9 code on mod 721-80869400 kenmore elite

This is usually inverter trouble, but it may be the magnetron, controller, wiring, etc.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

To find helpful exploded view diagrams and get part numbers, you can just enter your full model number at the Sears parts site.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

GE Spacemaker Model JVM1860CD002 The oven comes on all by itself, starts in the express cook mode. This could be dangerous Rob

Beelow statmwent is refering to you appliance manual with also contains the wiring diagram. I woudl speculate that the clock/ timer wil turn out to be the problem since you said that you cannot set it.

Microwaves: Inside the actual case. It is not consumer accessible. Over-the-range models have the manual behind the grille or control panel
