On an R134a system the low side should be down around 0-2 PSI when the freezer is down close to zero. Running slightly in a vacuum is ok at zero degrees.

Hello;
My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.
The low side is your vapor side and should be at about 65 PSI. Your high liquid side should be at about 160 PSI.
The amount of refrigerant is critical. 1/2 once under you will not get cooling. 1/2 once over will flood the system and you will not get cooling.
Chances are your problem is not the refrigerant. If you have an obstruction, then you have a $550.00 - $800.00 repair cost.

If your unit is not cooling or freezing there are a lot of other possibilities:
Bad defrost heater, bad cooling fan, bad thermistor or Bi-metl (cooling coil temperature sensor).....

Your model number is on a label on the inside wall of your fresh food section.

You can get badly burner from refrigerant.

Why are asking this question ? as if you have the equipment then you should know and if you have opened the system and let air in you may well have ruined it.

What was the actual fault you had ?

What are the AC pressures supposed to be on a 2000 Monte Carlo?

What the low and high side pressure for r410 freon

That depends upon the operating environment of the a/c system. The high side is directly related to the outside temperature and the low side depends upon the indoor temp, air flow across the evaporator coil, the relative indoor humidity and the static pressures of the duct system. There really is no rule of thumb to go by here but if all is operating properly then you should see something like this:

At 80° F the high should read from 277 psi to 295 psi with a clean condenser coil and the low will be about 116 psi to 130 psi or so if the blower and inside coil are functioning properly and the house temp is not too high or low.

*CAUTION*
If you are working with the high pressure of R410A refrigerant, also known by the trade name of Puron, then please take precautions to avoid accidental exposure of the face, eyes and exposed skin of the refrigerant and the POE oil it contains. Severe frostbite, lung damage and loss of eyesight may occur if exposure to raw refrigerant is experienced. Please consider calling a professional in your area to work on any refrigerant system.

What the high and low refrigerant pressure for a 1995 eldorado?

The actual proper level of refrigerant is determined based on the ambient air around the outside of the vehicle, when and where it is being tested and or serviced.

Essentially the low side PSI should be around 35. As this is the mid range for an average of 70 degree weather. That can include 65 degree upwards to 75 degrees.

In order to properly answer your question, or be more specific. One would need to know the air temperature of the environment surrounding the vehicle.

Most cannisters of refrigerant include a template guide and directions on the back to enable you to adjust the PSI Properly

Such as knowing how taking an accurate reading of the PSI can only be established if the compressor's clutch is engaged and the system is set and operating,

What should the pressures on the low and high side of the air conditioner read ?

low side should be about 30 psi at idle speed, high side 120 to 180 psi depending on ambient temp. higher temp, = higher pressure, as you increase engine rpm to say 1000 low side should drop to 10 to 15 psi & high side should increase about 30 psi. If high side goes over 280- 300psi you have contamination (air) in system or over charged with refrigerant. you will need to recover freon, evacuate & recharge system with proper amount of refrigerant. If the low side drops below 0psi or into vacuum then the refrigerant level is low, you will have to check for leaks , repair leaks & refill refrigerant.
Hope this helps

I just finished charging it it's at 100 psi low side tube gets cold right at fill point rest of system does not. Dryer is hot.

100 AT PSI ON THE LOW SIDE TOO MUCH REFRIGERANT.LOW SIDE NEED TO BE 28 PSI. HIGH SIDE SHOULD BE 200 PSI.YOU NEED A MANIFOLD GAUGE SET TO SEE YOUR LOW AND HIGH PRESSURE SIDE.YOU PUT TOO MUCH REFRIGERANT IN AC SYSTEM IT WILL EXPLODE CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY AND DAMAGE THE COMPRESSOR.
