Best thing to do is take it to a lawn mower repair place, the parts are not that much more expensive then ordering on line or from the company, they will even copy their parts explosion schematic for you, rather then trying to hunt a parts explosion manual down. Everyone wants money for something that should be free, especially tech manuals.

I wish to install a manual choke since the automatic choke no longer works

Brent,
Most any auto parts store will have a manual choke conversion kit for about $10us.You will have to be a little creative to hook it up. But...your engine shouldn't need to be choked once it runs awhile and is still warm. I would look for other causes like binding linkages, unhooked springs and loose carburator mounting.

Your neutral safety switch is not shifted into park so you need to manually shift it into park. If that does not fix it you need to replace your linkage because it is worn out

Choke cable 3020 won't pull out. seems to be stuck. sprayed with lubricant. no luck

hello,

If you have sprayed the cable with lube you need to make sure the cable is actually freed up you will have to disconnect it from the choke linkages in the engine, if when you do this the cable moves freely then you know the problem is in the linkages themselves lubricate all these untill it all moves freely...

Hope this helps
Kind Regards
Brad

Have a 1982 Honda CB650SC NightHawk and had the carbs off and know the choke won't work.when you when you try to turn the choke off it's like the cable is

Check the routing of the choke cable and, basically, make sure it does not get kinked or pulled tight when the handlebars are turned from side to side. Then, remove any excess free play in the cable by turning the adjustment fitting that's part of the cable. You want it so that the choke mechanism on the carburetors begins to move as soon as the handlebar mounted choke lever is moved. If the cable is worn worn - or broken - replace it.

Toyota Corolla CSi hatch revving too high

Some possibilities:
--the choke cable or the choke linkage on the carburetor is sticking, holding the revs too high.
--the gas pedal linkage, the pedal cable, or its linkage to the carburetor are sticking.
--the engine computer (if it has one) is failing, or has poor connections, or isn't grounded properly.
--various other sensors (if you have them) could be failing.
--the mechanism (computerized or mechanical) calling for more fuel to the carburetor when the air conditioning (if you have it) is turned on could be sticking or not working properly.
You should be able to test most of these possibilities while the car is standing still, with the engine running. Start with the choke -- have a helper move the knob and see if the engine responds properly, especially in the "off" position. Then have the helper operate the gas pedal while you watch what's going on with the carburetor.
Have your helper turn the a/c on and off. If you see a mechanical linkage to the carburetor move when the a/c is turned on, it should move back to its original position when it's turned off.
If any of these linkages (including the gas pedal linkage under the dash) are sticking, try spraying the affected area with a lubricant (like WD-40). If that doesn't help, spray lubricant into the cables, or replace them.
If all else fails, carefully check all vacuum lines in the engine compartment. An intermittent leak (or blockage) could be affecting engine speed.

Clutch pedal linkage

This shaft is removable, and the assembly, if not worn extremely bad, can be rebuilt. The assembly is called a quadrant. You can go to the local FORD dealer, and tell them to pull up a picture of the quadrant assembly, and you can pick out the parts you need to make the repair. If the shaft has worn out the quadrant bracket, then you will have to replace the assembly.

JENN AIR LP CONVERSION PROBLEM

I'm not aware of any "choke". I would put the orifices in and see what you get. Make sure you put each orifice in the correct burner or it won't work. They are different sizes. Smallest hole goes to the smallest burner and so on. Let me know how it turns out.
