I would recommend a basic ping command to 127.0.0.1 in the terminal to make sure your card is working. If so, and you know your network is set up correctly check your hardware status in the control panel. Is it set up correctly or is it using another device ie the wired network card while you are "using " wireless. Cheers Joe
Is the status light yellow or red? If it is yellow, then check the dust filter cover. That cover might be off or not secure. If the status light is red and blinking, then try unplugging the TV for a minute. If the error doesn't resolve the TV needs service. If it is out of warranty, you might want to open up the set and look for any obvious problems on the circuit boards (scorch marks, soot, bulging or leaking capacitors (look like cylinders on tripods)).
Use a multimeter to cehck for a short on the diode as you have mentioned a blackening. if so disconnect and test out of circuit. if this is short you have the culprit, if not check the power output section for a short. check also on the speaker connections/ the wires for any short.if so trace and correct. I hope this short will change the status of the protect. Good day
if the status light is flashing .5 seconds on and 2.5 seconds off - you need to replace the lamp cover correctly.
if the status light is flashing .5 seconds on and .5 seconds off in 2 - 6 cycles the error is:
2 cycles - the projector is overheated. Move the projector to a cooler location, or/and remove dust in the light path.
3 cycles - the power unit is not working correctly.
4 cycles - the fans are not working correctly
5 cycles - lamp fails to light. Wait a full minute and then turn on again.
Hi check the cables from the case to the mother board. They should be marked and the manual that came with the board ,this show you where to connect them on board The std markings are HDD [red led] PWR S [powerswitch] RSW [reset switch] PWR LED [case power light] in most cases check to see if this is correctly connected To test if there is no fault in the board or power pack. first visualy check the board to see if it shows a red led light when the power is turned on, if not the problem is in the power pack or the wall outlet. second if the light is on, bridge the pins marked pwr switch on the board with a screw driver and this should start the computer, check the processor and ram if not you have a faulty board.
Make sure your volume is not on mute. If the speaker icon on your lower right has a red x means its on mute. To test go to control panel and double click sounds and test. If Windows sounds work without speakers then problem is with speakers. Make sure volume is up, make sure its properly connected to correct output jack (usually green or light green). Also make sure speaker power on. If those things are correct check your device manager ( right click my computer) select "manage", click on "device manager" and on right pane check to see if theres any yellow exclamation, question mark or red x on the sound device section. Yellow exclamation or question mark means to update or install correct drivers. Check your speaker box if it comes with a CD. '
