Why does my 60" Xmark Lazerz Ultracut bog down and kill the engine?

I have checked all the belts and pulleys, and also have taken them off and tried engaging the blade. It still wants to die. Could this be the clutch on back of the motor?

I suppose it's possible but, without belts on then i don't think it would do that. It sounds like maybe the safety switch isn't working right. Could have a loose wire, broken wire or bad switch. When you go to engage if the safety switch isn't working right it will kill the motor

How can I fix this problem???? Have an XMark LazerZ Airlocking.. will not let gasoline enter tank and Im empty.

Go to an auto store and get a length of narrow diameter hose, push it into the tank but hold it above the level of the gas inside the tank and then fill it, the pipe lets air out as gas goes in.

Swisher 44" mower starts and runs but engine bogs

The engine in this machine seems to be powerful. If you can remove the belt from the pulley that drives the blade. Try turning the pulley buy hand. If it turns tight or not at all this is your problem. The unit that is the pulley to blade assembly is seized or ready to seize. Sometimes they are designed to be taken apart and repaired, and sometimes they are not. Did you check for a grease fitting within the pulley to blade unit?
I would like to hear how this works out for you. Best of luck.

WHEN I ENGAGE BLADE MOWER STALLS

Stalling and cutting off could be two different problems so I will address both. If the engine is stalling or being bogged down, you could have a pulley frozen or something jammed that is not allowing the belt to turn and therefore bogs the engine down.

If the engine is cutting off, you could have a safety switch issue that is killing the ignition. You may want to check the seat switch and connector to make sure they are working properly. Hope this gets you in the right direction.

hi,
check the motor and the motor controlling card. check the motor is it over heating or not. also check the speed sensor beside the motor pulley. clean the speed sensor and refix it. then test again

few reasons will try to narrow down first start it and put in neutral and deck disengaged release clutch if bogs then fuel problem the carb may need adjustment or repair or fuel filter needs replacement----if no bog step on clutch no put in gear release clutch if bogs check drive belt -upper belt on engine pulley and check for binding an idler pulley problem -debris -or rear unit binding -needs service-drive pulley damaged-rear locked--if not bogging in gear step on clutch engage deck release clutch if bogs need to check deck -belts-pulleys -mandrels -bearings and for bent or binding blades good luck

Scotts mower kohler command 25 motor bogs when mowing

Hi..my name is Keith..and it sounds like you have a binding somewhere on your mowing deck..i would check all the spindles .. pulleys and blades..and check the deck belt..it could have jumped a belt guard and it running on the outside of it..but just remember it has pulley brakes to slow the pulleys down when you shut it off..so..engage the deck without the engine running and check for the binding..i hope this has helped..if not..please write me back

1996 Grand AM 3.1L serpentine belt replacement

Try this procedure.

To replace a worn belt, locate the idler or generator pulley.

0900823d8004ed45.jpg

Loosen the hold-down fastener for the idler or generator pulley.

0900823d8004ed46.jpg

Pry the idler or generator pulley inward to release the belt tension and remove the belt.

0900823d8004ed47.jpg

Match the old belt up for size with the new replacement belt.

0900823d8004ed48.jpg

Observe the belt routing diagram in the engine compartment.

0900823d8004ed49.jpg

Install the new belt over each of the drive pulleys. Often the manufacturer recommends a sequence for feeding the belt around the pulleys.

Pry out the idler or generator pulley to put tension on the belt.
Pry out the idler or generator pulley to put tension on the belt.

Install the belt squarely in the grooves of each pulley.

Before adjusting belt tension, check for proper pulley alignment. This is especially critical with serpentine belts. Measure the belt deflection in its longest span. If a belt tension gauge is available, use it and compare the tension to specifications.
If a belt is too tight, wear to bearings for the water pump, alternator, and engine crankshaft can result.
Some late-model Chrysler engines require a torque reading to be taken when tension is applied to the generator drive belt. This is especially important on the longer, multiribbed V-belts.

0900823d8004ed76.jpg

Pry the idler or generator pulley to adjust the belt to specifications.

0900823d8004ed77.jpg

Tighten the idler or generator pulley fastener.

0900823d8004ed78.jpg

Start the engine and check the belt for proper operation.

Any more questions please ask. Good luck.
