Question about Whirlpool Dryers

On my whirlpool duet dryer the power turns on to my dryer but when u pushes the start button u just hear a click and nothing else happens..

The dryer belt may be broken, when you push the button you hear the motor running. you can either try and fix it your self or call a authorized dealer or service center, look in your area using the internet, yelp, call information, yellow pages, white pages, look on the machine for service calls, call sears, home depot, lowels, applicance service center, dial 0 ask for whirlpool costomer service, or service and repair shops.

You have to slam the dryer door shut. Sounds silly... but it worked. Guy said it has to do with it being stacked??

check thermal fuse inside back of dryer usually little white fuse unplug and ohm out should ge a reading if good

Whirlpool dryer has power, but drum won't spin

can oyu oppen the door nad physically push in on the door switch( little grey switch atop the door opening). do you hear it clicking on/off??? if not you have a bad door switch.
