My 1989 chevy truck suddenly started squealing loudly when I push in the clutch to change gears. Do you think it is the flywheel or throw out bearing?

I agree its gonna be a bad throw out bearing. If your gonna do all that work just buy the complete clutch kit and do it once.

Cluth is making a loud screeching noise when changing gear and when starting the car up.

Is it squeeling or a sound like metal to metal as if it squeels, then perhaps your alternator is getting bad or your serp belt, if its the other than perhaps your clutch maybe going start with the clutch flywheel hope that helps

Clutch started squealing on my f350 then hard to engage in gear

The transmission will need to be removed. Probably will need a new clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing and pilot bearing. The flywheel should be removed and taking to a machine shop to have them resurface it.

The clutch was having a hard time going into gear.All of a sudden there was a high pitched squeal/scream coming from the transmission area.

that sounds like a throw out bearing failure-is there any adjustment at the slave cylinder-it may be holding the bearing against the clutch and causing the noise-this thread may help-http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/how-change-bleed-clutch-slave-cylinder-511531/- cheers Denny

99 f550 cluch will not disengage. It sounded like a bearing was squealing when I would push in the cluch. Do you know if this has a hydraulic slave cylinder that may not be disengaging? Is there a throw...

You should be able to remove a cover or inspection plate at the bottom of the ****** bell housing to inspect and visually see the throw out bearing. It sound like it (the throw out bearing) completely went out or damaged the fingers it rests on to disengage the pressure plate. All clutches are pretty much the same. Flywheel bolts to the rear of the crankshaft with a pilot bearing in the center for the input shaft. The clutch disk is sandwiched between the flywheel and retained in place by the pressure plate. Followed by the throw out bearing which is operated by the release fork. You could have a bad slave cylinder, but that would not be the source for the squealing you hear. Sounds like it's time to replace the clutch assembly.

Squealing noise stops when i push in clutch pedal we were on the interstate and suddenly i had no clutch pedal we got off the street it was hard to get it out of gear i checked the fluid it was fine...

Sounds like a bad Throw Out Bearing.. Needless to say.. it has to be repaired.

Depending on mileage.. may as well replace the clutch/pressure plate.. and have he flywheel looked at.. change the tranny oil.. check the u joints.. rear end etc..

Best of luck!

Clutch makes a squealing noise

Hello;
The throw out bearing is going oout. The reason you hear the squeal when you push in the clutch is that is when the throw out bearing spins up. Rest of the time it does not spin.It is irratating, You should replace the entire clutch assembly when you replace the throw out bearing. Hope this helps, rate me high.
Thanks;
