the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Does MFF Allow Online Users to Retain Online After the Switch Restarts?

In V100R006 and later versions, whenboth MFF and DHCP snooping are enabled, you can use the dhcp snooping user-bind autosave file-name command to back up DHCP snooping binding entries in a specified file. This configuration allows online users to retain online after the switch restarts. Note that the backup file saves only the first gateway address of users.

Which Default Passwords Are Used on S Series Switches?

On the S series switches of all versions:
· When you log in a switch through a console port, no default user name or password is provided. The system asks you to set the user name and password when you log in to the switch for the first time.
· Before you log in to a switch through Telnet, create a Telnet account.
· You can set the Telnet login authentication method in the VTY. If the password authentication mode is configured, set a password in the VTY. If the AAA local authentication mode is configured, set the user name and password in the AAA view. If the remote AAA authentication mode is configured, set the user name and password on the AAA server.

Wants to reset 3824 3com switch via console

You forget the password for the "admin" user account and can no longer perform important management operations. solution.gif Use the password recovery method outlined below to define a new password for the "admin" user account:
  1. Access the Command Line Interface from the console port and enter the user name "recover" and password "recover" to place the Switch in password recovery mode. The Switch remains in password recovery mode for a maximum of 30 seconds, before it returns to the CLI login prompt.

note.gif You must use the console port to recover the passsword. If you attempt the recovery method using the network, the password will be rejected.

  2. Perform a hard reset on the Switch whilst it is in password recovery mode by switching it off, waiting a few seconds, and switching it on again.

note.gif You cannot use a soft reset operation to reset the password of the "admin" user account. This will end the password recovery procedure and return you to the CLI login prompt.

  3. When the Switch has rebooted following the hard reset enter a new password for the "admin" user account.
