Question about Heating & Cooling
Our air conditioner has quit 3 times in the last couple of weeks. Each time the landlord sends a guy out, and he only spends a couple of minutes, and "fixes" it. The first time he said it was a fuse. The second time he didn't say what it was, just "try that and see if that works". It happened again last night, and this time we noticed that it quit after turning the dryer on. We also remembered the second time it quit, we had turned the dryer on that time too. What would cause this, and what is the problem? We checked the breakers, and that is not the problem. We have a gas furnace and air. The air or heat won't turn on at all. There is no power going to it. I wish I knew what it was, so that maybe we can "fix" it ourselves, because last time we waited 3 days for the guy to come, he kept saying he would be here, and we would wait all day, and can't plan to go anywhere. Anyone recognize this problem?
