Question about PfaFF Sewing Machines
It's not the machine that's the problem. It is the software version that you are running that most likely not compatible with windows 8. The problem is that the latest 6d software is not compatible with those machines unless you have a USB cable.

Hi. Some Pfaff machines have something called an "IDT" which looks rather like a small, black walking foot behind the pressure foot, to help feed the fabric evenly. Pfaff machines with this IDT need "IDT" pressure feet. (I can't find a listing of which machines have this and which don't, so you'll have to look at your machines or check your manuals.) If both machines have the IDT, then the feet are compatible. If neither has the IDT, then the feet are also compatible.
