May be its detecting your sim card properly. Check your sim card in another handset. Verify if its the propbelm with sim card not your handset.

How to insert sim card

Probably nowhere. A desktop is not made for that, so I have a Mifi (MobileWifi)
Mine is from Vodafone and is a Huawei enclosure with SIM card slot. this Mifi sends out a Wifi signal I can connect up to 5 computers, tablets or desktops with Wifi-card to.
so for this solution you need:
1. A Wifi-networkcard in your desktop. Laptops do have it standard, because they are meant to be mobile devices.
A Wifi- network card for desktops to be installed inside the desktop.
You will need to install also a driver from a disk or download from support site from the manufacturer.
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/24164-43-whats-wireless-adapter-desktop
2. A Mifi where the SIM can be inserted.
Do a Google search for mobile hotspot to find a Device for that.

My sim is rejected how to activate

1. Power down the Nokia cell phone before inserting the SIM card. If the phone is on when you insert the SIM card, it may not detect the newly placed device.
2. Insert a SIM card from your specific wireless provider. If you are attempting to insert the SIM card of a different company, your Nokia phone may not properly detect or use the equipment.
3. Slide the SIM card completely into the SIM card port on your Nokia cell phone. If the card is not pushed in all the way, your phone will not detect the information.

Nokia c7 sim card removal i don't now how ??

Insert the SIM card and battery

Important: Do not use a micro-SIM or a micro-SIM with an adapter in this device. This device does not support use of micro-SIM cards, and use of incompatible SIM cards may damage the card or the device, and may corrupt data stored on the card.

Follow the instructions carefully, to avoid damaging the back cover.

Safe removal. Always switch the device off and disconnect the charger before removing the battery.

1 Unlock the back cover release latch, and lift the back cover

2 If the battery is inserted, lift the battery out.

3 Insert a SIM card. Use the diagram printed on the device to correctly align the card.

4 Line up the contacts of the battery and the battery compartment, and insert the battery.

5 To replace the back cover, direct the top locking catches toward their slots, and press down until the cover locks into place.

In case of a problem or clarification or my solution was insufficient, don't hesitate to post me a reply.

How to retreave messages from the phone

Instructions
    • Get a SIM card recovery kit. This includes software to read the data on the card, and a device that plugs into the USB port on your computer. Find these kits at your local cell phone or computer store, or online (see Resources for options).
    • 2 Insert the CD-ROM from the kit into the drive on your computer. Windows will ask if you wish to install the application and drivers. Click "Yes" and follow the instructions given to you on the screen.
    • 3 Turn your phone off and remove the battery. Remove the SIM card by lifting the metal gate up and sliding the white rectangular chip out of the slot.
    • 4 Insert the SIM card into the USB device and plug it into your computer's USB port.
    • 5 Go to the Start menu on your computer and open the application that you installed earlier. Go to "File" and "Download Text Messages." This will download any available text messages on the SIM card (both deleted and undeleted) to a window in the software. Note that a text message isn't deleted until the memory slot where it resides has been written over. Once it has been written over, nothing can retrieve it.
    • 6 Go to the window with the text messages and find the one that you wish to undelete. It will be marked in red. To undelete it, right-click on the file and select "Undelete," which will restore the message.

Sorry, the sidekick II doesn't have a battery that can be pulled out. You need to pull back the bumper on one side to access the sim card slot.

    1. Follow these instructions to remove your operator-supplied SIM card from your device:
    2. Turn off your device by pressing the power on/off key.
    • Expose the SIM card slot by peeling back the bumper from the top-left edge of the device: t02005-2.jpg
    • Press down on the silver "catch" and the SIM card will spring out of its slot. Remove the SIM card carefully. (Always handle your SIM card carefully since the card and gold contacts can be easily damaged by scratches or bends. Be sure to keep SIM cards out of reach of small children.)

    1. Now insert the SIM card containing the contacts you want to import:
    2. Insert the SIM card into its slot with the gold contacts facing up and the cut corner facing out. t02005-1.jpg
    • When you release the SIM card make sure it is locked into position behind the catch so it doesn't spring out.
    • Replace the bumper and turn on your device.
