No I never had any luck and the parts likely 1/2 the cost or more of a new one at wal mart and the heat element would still be old too

I have a Lakewood mdl 5600/7 oil heater. Love it. It seems to have given up. I unplugged it for a while, relocated to different power source, still no lights or anything else. Internal fuse? If so, where?

I had the exact same problem and I took the front panel off and found the bottom thermostat was burned up when I bipassed it the heater worked so I know this is the problem. Its the small thermostat attached with two small screwes to the heater. It is a KSD301 16amp 125volt 160degree themostat but I am having trouble locating one. They seem to be chinese made and mostly have to be ordered in bulk. When/if I find one I will post again

I have a lakewood 5600/7 doesnt work has power going into heater element none coming out. where can i get replacement element

Your best bet is to find someone who has discarded they heater, and get the part you need, these heaters are not affordable to repair,by the time you purchased a element, you could have bought a new one.Do like I do,and buy a new one, save all the ones that go out, year to year, and use them for parts,it really works.I hope I help you somewhat.

Lakewood oil filled heater model 5600/7 won't turn on.

I went to buy a new oil filled heater because mine was blowing the breaker. After I bought two, I heard the sales rep telling a customer to store the heater on it's side or upside down or give it a good shake to loosen the oil from the bottom. So, I went home and tried this...it may take a couple of times before it stops blowing the breaker, but it works.
