Thanks for posting the model number this help to look your equipment.

You need to remove the cover that is on the Honda GCV160 clean the mating surfaces and reseal the cover. Honda specs applying Three Bond 1207 or its equal and reinstalling the cover.

SOURCE: Oil leaking from pump

top is a breather you may be overfull of oil most pumps you can use engine oil .drain and put in half litre or if it has a sight glass top up to low side of glass and try it out.possible your seals on way out this usually then leaks at front or gets water in.if you still have good pressure oil seals easy to do.

SOURCE: pressure washer lost pressure in the middle of a job

The pressure valve has stuck in the high pressure position. This prevents anymore inflow and hence no further water will be pumped.

Rebuild the valve... There are O Rings to replace and clean the bore with croocus cloth. Lube the O rings with plumber's grease... good as new! 15 minute job. Get EXACT sized O rings for the unit.

The engine cuts off when i squeeze the handle on the sprayer, what is causing this to happen?

Sounds like a bad unloader valve. Do a search on "pressure washer unloader valve symptoms". When they are faulty there will either be little pressure or it will stop an engine abruptly. The engine will not just die down as it you were turning it off. It would stop cold.

Why detergeant for homelite 2700 pressure washer only works with blue tip?

The chem venturi relys on low pressure to function this is specifically the blue nozzles job, to create a low pressure for the venturi to work.
otherwise you will be wasting chemical the entire time you are using the cleaner.

Hope this helps:)

Where is the oil drain plug located on a Homelite 2700 psi 2.3 GPM Honda Gas Pressure Washer?

There is drain plug, surprisingly. You basically have to tip the washer over to the side opposite of the exhaust. I like to take the wheel off first. It is much easier this way. You don't want oil to get in the exhaust Or you could get something like a turkey baster and pull it out. There isnt much oil in there so it isn't that difficult.
Let me know if you need more assistance.
