Engine will start after priming but stops quickly (actually runs only very slowly and then stops).

Rheupel, Check that you have good fuel flow in gas line from tank. It sounds like a carburetor issue still, one of the ports are still plugged or float level is not set properly. Did you remove and clean emulsion tube in carb. If your carburetor is of diaphragm type, replace the diaphragm. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Briggs & Stratton 4 cycle Lawnmower engine no fuel from carberator. Fuel is being supplied to carberator but only runs when starting fluid is used. Gas is new. What's clogged?

the float may be gummed up. or the needle is plugged up.
you need to clean the carburetor, old gas left in the carburetor turns
into shellac and gums up in side. you need to take it apart and clean it.

Sounds like you will need to clean your carburetor.
Be sure to use compressed air to blow out all the fuel and air passages.
Sometimes you can get by with priming the carburetor a few times, and letting it run a few times like that and it will flush the gunk out of the jets, but most of the time you will need to rebuild the carburetor.
If the mower/weedeater is over a couple years old, then I also recommend that you buy and install a new carburetor repair kit, because the diaphragm will get hard and that will cause it to be hard to crank.
When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, You will first seat the jet screws and count the number of turns it takes to seat the jets from their original position.
That way when you go to put the jets back in, you know how many turns they were in/out.
Please rate me,
Thanks
Good Luck,
I hope this helped

My huskee model # 28 N707 lawnmower will not keep running.

It sounds like 2 different problems. One is that your battery is shot. It needs to be replaced, and to keep that from happening prematurely, put a smart trickle charger on it over the winter because lead/acid batteries lose 1% of their charge per day, making them virtually discharged in 3 months. This causes damage that they cannot recover from.

The second problem sounds like either that you are not tending to the choke properly or it needs the carburetor thoroughly cleaned because of clogged jets. Before winter storage, be sure that any fuel in the system has been treated with STA-BIL to prevent it from breaking down and forming deposits.

If you have the technical know-how, get a carb rebuild kit (usually about $20) and remove, clean, and reassemble the carb using the new gaskets and parts. If not, bring it in for repair.
