How do I get our Avaya 9611G phone to reboot?

Hey there, we have this phone in our office and it was logged out incorrectly. It now is just showing "Discover" and 8 numbers underneath. Is there a quick way to get this up and running?

If you need to reconfigure the phone press "mute"RESET# where the alphabets correspond to the digits button they appear against on phone. E.g. for R press 7... and so on ..... then the phone will ask reset values? press # to reset and reboot the phone. Then key in the correct IP address for phone .... call server IP address ... router .. files server .... VLAN ID etc ....

If all the settings are done correctly ... and if the phone gets the reach ability to the call server it will work fine...

if you are unsure of these settings.... go to the menu and network options of any working phone and get the correct values from there

Ensure the reachability of the call server from that port. To ensure the same, configure a laptop with the IP address and default gateway of the intended IP phone. Then try pinging the call server from the laptop.

If this works then the setting should work for IP phone too. Double check on the router IP address and Vlan ID configured on the phone.

turn the profile to normal and the ringtone to a loud one. make sure the volume is up. ensure there are no diverts set.

For most of the Avaya mail systems it is *3 after you have logged into your voicemail. If this is incorrect just listen to the prompts in your voicemail it will tell you.

You need to log in to the system administration. Unless you have a button programmed called "self administer". If you do, press that. If your system admin has allowed you to change the time, you will see a button labeled time...

4610sw avaya phone is showing in discover mode


Most often I have seen phones sit at discover when there is a hardcoded address on the phone. I would suggest clearing the phone. To do this, press * when prompted during booting. Password will either be nothing (just press #) or CRAFT. If it is incorrect, the phone will reboot. If successful, the phone will enter the settings. Once in settings, press # repeatedly until you reach the "Enter Command" prompt. At that point, enter MUTE button CLEAR (25327) and #.

I need to reset my avaya 5410 voicemail password and I do not know the current password. please assist


You will need to log into Mnager (the IP Office management application). Go to the users section, and click on the Voicemail tab. delete the stars. Then save the config.

When you log in the first time, there isnt a password, so just hit #.

I would verify what the firrmware is of the phone. It is possible that the phones need to be upgraded.
