Re: whirlpool 9yrs old 8100 series

This machine comes with 2 to 3 pins installed to hold mechanism still during shipping. It has a strap out the back that you pull out that removes these. They should be out for normal operation. If one is still in, that's the problem. Also, lift back of washer about 5 inches and set back down. This locks in the legs.

Ecwhirlpool 8100 series 8kg. Agitator spinning one way at same speed so all clothes get all twisted together.

is this washer old? im not familar with that series ive got no tech manuals on it, if it is old it will be a small grey box under the display panel with two or three wires coming out of it, this box is basically a simple triac switch that switches between two points to make the motor change direction if the agitator only goes one way one of the switch points is damaged unfortunately these boxes are completely sealed with silcone so repairs to the switch arnt possible, if u can track down a second part you shud be right

Hi, my AWM 1200 is 9yrs old but still washes and

Your machine most probably has had water in the spin bearing. The seal has worn and allowed water to rust the ball bearings which are no longer smooth...Hence the noise! A fairly major job which could also need a new shaft and inner drum. Get quotes, but be prepaired. Too much detergent can also speed up seal failure......Good luck....Nomess

When i start the dishwasher it will run very noisy and then stops

Sounds like your motor bearing is wornout.Noise is either from Motor bearing or impellor, It will depend on make of Dishwasher. But if it quits after running noisy and over 7years old, get a new one.

GE Top load washer 15years old. noisy when spinning

washer making a load cluck noise when the spin cycle starts.
It only happens when the motor turns slow for the first minute during the spin cycle. Otherwise it works fine.
if the motor is proper then the bearings in the motor got rusted and that needs replacement.the beasrings are located on the back of the motor.

Motor makes loud rattling noise during rinse cycle

could be the coupler and the only way to truely check it is to take the pump, then the motor off. But it seems strange to me that you say it works fine. Is it spinning? usually when the coupler breaks it sounds horrible and usually will not spin but it will drain.I would check the coupler again.

Whirlpool Duet Sport not running it makes clicks and it grinds

A common problem with noises from washing machines has been the under wire that may come out of small clothes. In the washer they can get stuck in one of the inner basket holes and make a scrapping noise, they can actually make there way into the pump and jam the pump, or make a terrible noise when the pump is running. Grab a flash light and have a peek inside the washer for this. Front load washers seem very common to this happen! If the tiny cloth is showing signs of fraying, may be best not to wash it in the washing machine, replace the cloth.=======
It's noisy Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.
