More a sign of a motor overload not enough power output to turn drum. Check that the slipper pads have not warn out and causing excess friction on the drum.
Also check that nothing has clogged up or been caught in the fan blades or motor.

Just fitted a new belt to my dryer now it wont turn have checked for any loose wires

Are you sure you have the belt on correctly? When you start it does the motor run or try to run? Does it hum or buzz when trying to start? Take the belt off & start it see if the motor runs if it does check if drum, belt and idler pully are installed correctly.
Check the drum rollers and drum glides be sure the drum turns ok. Be sure everything is installed correctly & turns OK . Are you getting power? Hard to tell what is wrong without much information about what is going on. You might check the front panel & see if it is binding on the drum not letting it turn. Hope there's something here that will help you.

I have a Neptune dryer. On big loads, such as towels it doesn't tumble it just hums, although it does heat. What could this be?

they are turned by a large belt that encompasses the entire drum... it could be getting loose, the entire machine has to come apart to find and fix the problem... there is also a spring connected to the motor for tension on the belt this could be the problem as well.

Was running a load of towels on auto sensor timer. Heard a pop and the dryer shut off. Sensor light was lit on wet. The dryer will not start under any settings. Sensor lights will flash on sometime,...

If you heard a pop then your belt probably fell off. There is a belt safety switch that wont allow the dryer to turn on if the belt is not attached

LG dryer. the drum will not turn with wet towels in it. When it turns it does so slow and the contents do not tumble but get bundeled up in knots. The belt seems ok, it did make a "squeeky"...

If indeed the belt is OK, with it's grooved side touching the drum, and the belt running in the motor drive pulley (not on the smooth motor shaft), then you most likely need to replace at least one of the four drum support rollers.

I changed the drive belt, so far so good. The belt I took off really didn't show signs of being bad, it may have been slightly glazed. Also, the drive motor is set to slide back and forth, I lubbed the glides. 3 loads have been run and it appears to be fixed.

if the motor buzzes when you push start then it is a bad motor.as long as the drum turns freely by hand.
