For clarity of terminology, within the pool and spa industry, there is no such thing as a sand pump!
The normal way to attach a vacuum hose so that you can vacuum your pool would be to connect it to the skimmer, or suction port, inside the pool. Not directly to the pump. As that hose is connected to the outside portion, of the through wall fitting, sucking water from the pool, and bringing it into the pump, and then to your filter, and then returning back to the pool, through the return inlet fitting.

SOURCE: Need help downsizing pool pump connection

Okay. I think I gotcha covered.

I have one mocked up here right in front of me.

Still going on the PVC pipe assumption...

- Install a PVC 1 1/2 " - 1" reducer on the new pump nipple.

- Install a short piece (nipple) of 1 1/2" PVC pipe in the reducer installed on the pump

- Install an 1 1/2" MIP adapter (PVC) on the 1 1/2 " nipple

- Screw the hose onto the threaded 1 1/2" MIP adapter.

There are several ways to do this -- the above is a good way.

Have you ever mated PVC piping/adapters with solvent? I can help you with the details of this if your unfamiliar with it...

Why is my swimming pool water cloudy?

There are two primary straight out explanations shady pool water: substance and mechanical. In this manner, the first stage to taking care of the issue is figuring out if you have a mechanical or a substance issue staring you in the face. Probably, synthetic uneven characters are to fault -however it is moderately simple to preclude a mechanical reason. Examine each of the accompanying mechanical reasons keeping in mind the end goal to discount them:

Determine that the channel you're utilizing isn't excessively modest for your pool.

Check to guarantee the pump and the engine are of a satisfactory measure for your channel and sort. An oversized pump can cause poor water filtration.

Clean the channel to guarantee fitting water stream. In the event that you have not adapted the sand channel media for a couple of years, the sand might have advanced directs in the sand couch where the water courses through averting fitting filtration. In the event that you have a DE channel, altogether clean the inward parts of the channel before re-accusing of DE powder. Flush cartridge channels then afterward cleaned them utilizing a catalyst or a cartridge channel cleaner.

Measure if you are running the channel long enough every day. Work the channel framework eight to twelve hours every day.

Look at the water dissemination, positioning the bay planes descending and acknowledge getting a programmed pool cleaner if the flow isn't exceptionally great. Make sure to vacuum and brush the pool on a normal support.

How do i hook up an antenna to a samsung tv model no. cxj1952

If the set only has a coax cable fitting and you have a antenna with flat wire--you need the adapter that takes the flat wire and slides onto the coax fitting.

Once done in the menu you have to set the set to cable and operate the auto program etc.

Looking for a polaris pool cleaner that is compatable with an intex pool is there any? Or what to do?

If your looking for an "off the shelf" connector, good luck. Intex uses their special fittings that fit nothing. Although what I have found works well is the adapter that comes with the skimmer. I use it for our manual vacuum and it works great.

This is the adapter: Skimmer Plate

The Polaris 65 is a pressure side cleaner. The various configurations for the wall fitting (return fitting) are at this link: http://www.polarispool.com/files/manual/PolarisManual165-65.pdf this adapter will get you to a standard 1/5" hose nipple. If you need something else you can go to Home Depot (or any other hardware store) and get a rubber coupler to adapt it to hard PVC fittings.
Something like this, but hardware store will have them in many sizes. Rubber Coupler
If the blue adapter I mentioned above works on your return(it should) then all you need is a 1.5"-1.5" rubber coupler and another piece that looks like the clean-out I linked to below. If you can find one that will fit directly into the rubber coupling, great, that's all you need. If not, you'll need a short piece of 1.5" pipe and a clean-out that slips over the pipe. The Polaris Universal Adapter will screw right into any 1.5" female threaded fitting.

1.5" Rubber Coupling

1.5" Clean-out You won't need the plug for your application.

How to hook up vacuum to sand filter

hooking up the vacuum assembly is done at the poolside skimmer. there is a vacuum plate that goes over top of the skimmer basket, allowing you to leave the basket in place to catch any larger debris. the plate will have a fitting at the top to attach the vacuum hose. before turning the pump on, be sure to bleed the air out of the vacuum hose so the pump does not run dry.

if this is a new thing for you (like you just bought the house with the pool, or something like that), please post any further questions in the comment section, i realize this can all be sort of overwhelming at first, and often the previous owners don't leave you all the pieces you need!

I have the big cone or spool of thread, the thread thing is sideways and only holds smaller spools..., can it be adapted so that I can put the big cone of thread on?

Hi! There are thread stands for the big cone of thread that you can buy. They stand off to one side or behind the machine, with a hook or guide at the top. The thread feeds through there and then onto your machine.
If you're a crafty-type person, one could probably be made from a dowel rod, a square base (for stability) that the dowel rod would fit into with some sort of hook or eye at the top. I haven't made one since I don't use cones of thread except on my serger, but I think it would be fairly easy to made. .
Hope this helps.

Same as others with Krystal clear model 635 pump.

We too have an Intex pool and opted to not waste money on their pumps which arent adequate enough to properly filter the pool. We bought a nice sand filter system off a great seller on amazon for $305 delivered. (DO NOT BUY "GAME" system for intex pools, my sister bought one and has had nothing but problems and just bought 5 weeks ago).

We are very happy with the results from our Waterway sand filter system. We did not have to buy any adapters to fit it to our pool. And it keeps the water perfect! We have an 18' x 52 metal frame pool. If you intend on using your pool for years, I recommend buying a sand filter system. It is more expensive than replacing the intex pump, but you will be much happier with the sand filter system.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Check your auto parts store for an adapter tube. If they don't have one, a junk yard may be able to find something to work.
