None of the evaporator fans are working. Could this be a problem with the main board or the fans themselves?

You are correct, non of the fans are working. The evaporator fan and the two condenser fans. I checked the ohms and the fans are still good. It seems they don't get any power? Is this a problem with the board?

Frigidaire fridge model FGUN2642LF6 fridge is not working. Code displays sy and ef, what is wrong

Your evaporator fan is not spinning.

Check to make sure there isn't any ice build up jamming up the fan. If there isn't then it's either the evaporator fan, or the main board.

Why doesn't my evaporator fan in my refrigerator come on?

Some evaporator fans are controlled by a door switch that prevents fan from running while door is open. Switch is usually located in the area near door front and is either a push button or rocker type. If no switch there could be a control board that is defective. Those refrigerators that have a main mother board control system run all components through that mother board. Hard to tell exactly with out a brand and model number.

I have replaced the evaporator fan and the main board and am still getting the ef error code

Hi, your unit has a loose harness behind the fan motor at the wall. Manually push in every wire to assure a good connection, the error you have is that the control can't sense the fan speed. Unplug the unit when you do this to assure the computer can see and sense the fan. Failure to unplug first will not work. Good Luck.... PS once fixed use a sealant to keep these connection tight and clean.

Evaporator fan not running

Hello Richard Black - From what you have described it sounds like the refrigerator is experiencing a wiring failure or has a faulty control board. I suggest contacting a professional to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issues.

Freezer flashing E Refrigerator flashing F what does this mean????

The code "E - F" is related to evaporator fan motor. You have a bad evap fan. This is the fan that is behind the back panel INSIDE the freezer.
-------------

This code is for the evaporator fan motor but it could also be due to a defective main board. If the fan motor in the freezer is still running, disconnect power to the refrigerator for 30 seconds and then reconnect it. This resets the board. If the code disappears and the motor is still running, it may be ok now but if the code reappears, the board will need to be replaced. If the motor is not running, some voltage checks will need to be made at the motor and at the board.------------The EF error code indicates a problem has been detected with the freezer fan motor (evaporator fan). This type of symptom could be caused by the fan motor stalled out on some type of obstruction, defective fan motor, faulty wiring or the main control board.

--------------

you can get required parts from sears part direct online site or from repairclinic.com site.---------

This should help.Thanks,.Helpmech.

I just replace evaporator fan but still won't work. Is there a fuse for the motor? thanks

You will have to replace the main control board . This board is behind the refrig , behind an 8 " X 10 " panel . This board , is usuall the cause for the evaporator fan motor not to work . It is easily replaceable .

Mastercool swamp cooler fan doesnt come on.

Are the relays perment on the board or are they seperate from the main board? If they are mounted to the board, you will need to replace the board. Sounds like you are getting a call to the relay but none leaving so this would indicate that you have a bad relay switch.
