I would suggest taking the cover off and put a fan on it to help dry it out quicker. You definitely need to make sure that the circuit board is dry before you plug it in. Hope this helps!

I had a pot of water bowling on the right burner. Steam came up while the microwave was running. I heard some popping noise and now the microwave will not heat. What do I need to do?

Call a repairman. Seriously, it may be a thermal fuse located on the bottom of the microwave oven, or the steam and moisture may have gotten into and damaged the control board. You MIGHT try unpluggin the microwave oven for a day, (for the moisture to dry out), and then plug it back in and try it again, but if that fails, then you've got problems.

Microwave oven extension cord?

That receptacle is only for the microwave . However , the amps that the lighting would use is probably minimal . You should have two female outlets in the one receptacle so go ahead and try it. The worst case scenario is you pop a circuit breaker and remove the lighting from that plug.

I wiped my microwave with a wet cloth (too wet may be), as a result the microwave did work one or twice and then it made a strange sound, may be like the sound of a smoke detector, and now no button works!...

If you used too wet a cloth on the keypad, chances are moisture got into the controls.

If it does not dry out over time, it may need to be manually dried or blown out.

The keypad may be damaged or worn out, or control unit may be damaged.

Whirlpool ukm120 microwave stopped working

1) you use contacts cleaner with very speed dry or isopropyl alochol to 100% for dry the humidity sector inside from microwave.+power cord+main switch. The reason is has humidity. This water or some other liquid are NOT conductors.by that reason isolated. See if some parts are burned or smell strange.
2) test the fuse again. 3) dry the HV transformer and magnetron with infrared LAMPS by 8-10 hours for to dry any humidity.
3) and try again.see the inside of microwave

Hotpoint rvm1625sj01 no power

Hello

Plug the microwave into the outlet if the microwave won't power up. Make sure the plugs on the microwave match the type of outlet. A four-pronged outlet can only be used with a four-pronged plug. Same with three-pronged outlets---they only work with three-pronged plugs.

Inspect the plug. Make sure it hasn't been cut or tampered with. Four-pronged plugs can't be cut down to fit a three-pronged outlet. Three-pronged plugs mustn't be forced into four-pronged outlets. A three-pronged plug mustn't be used in a two-pronged outlet, either.

Replace blown fuses, or if there's a circuit breaker, check it for tripped breakers. Sometimes the trip won't be obvious, so cycle the circuit breakers. Turn them all the way off and then back on again.

Plug another appliance in the outlet. You will find this easier with three-pronged appliances. Simply plug a toaster, or other appliance into the microwave's outlet, and see if it works. If it works, you know the problem is with the microwave, not the power circuit. Have the microwave serviced or replace it. If the toaster or other appliance doesn't turn on, you know the problem is with the circuit.
