If it is a zx10r 05 model there is a rear plastic cover that is directly behind the rear passengers seat which also wraps around both sides of the bike to meet both side covers ,on the left hand side of the rear cover there is a key barrel that unlocks the rear seat ,but the key is barrel hidden and can only be seen by looking underneath and the key is inserted with the main plastic (black handle)bit facing toward the ground and the metal part of the key will be pointing towards the sky ,so you will have to sit on the ground to see it and look or feel under to find it and when you do it will remove rear seat so when you turn the key lift up on the front of the rear seat to remove it then you will see that the front seat is held down by a bolt .

How to change battery on pronto m51

The Pronto M51 has two batteries in the base. The seat has to be removed to change the batteries. The M51 has had several methods of removing the seat from the base. The oldest models have a long bolt that holds the seat to a center post that sticks up from the base between the batteries. The next version has a spring loaded red handle just under the right side of the seat. If you have one of these designs you must lift the seat straight up off the center post. If not lifting straight up the seat will not come off.

The last style has the seat frame bolted to the base frame in 4 positions. Only one bolt at each corner post needs to be removed.

Have not changed the battery in my kawasaki w650 before and have no idea how to do it. Could you please describe how to do this.

Remove the seat (probably one to three bolts at the rear of the seat) to find the battery. Remove the hold down bracket ... disconnect the wires - pull the battery.

If you will go to the Kawasaki rider site, I believe there is a better description of this procedure.

How do you remove the battery from a Suzuki van van 125 motorbike? mine is flat and i need to remove it to charge it up again.

On my TW125 Yamaha very similar to the Van Van. the battery is under the seat. There are 2 6mm bolts that fix the seat to the sub frame. Try using a torch or light and look under the seat from the chain side. The only other method of seat fixing i am aware of on Suzuki bikes involves removing the plastic panels under the seat and this reveals the seat fixings. Please remember when you remove the battery undo the negative lead first. Please do not use a charger with an output of more than 1 amp. When you refit the battery please connect the positive lead first.

If the recharged battery works OK please check the charging circuit is OK. Connect a volt meter across the battery terminals and see if the volts rise to about 14.5 as the revs are increased. Hope this helps

How do I get to the battery to change it?

Remove the bolt at the back of the passenger seat, lift the back of the seat, and pull it off. Remove the bolt at the back of the driver seat, lift the back of the seat, and pull it toward the back of the seat. Remove the bolts on the battery cover, the battery cable bolts, and lift the battery straight up out of the battery box.

On a 2004 Honda Shadow 750. Can you tell me the steps to removing the seat so I can charge the battery please.

Yes, Towards the back of the front seat and on the side are two big bolts.
I beleive they are allen head bolts. Remove the two bolts and the seat slides out.
If you have a rear seat, pull up on the front of the rear seat so the front will slide back.

Now you see electrical wires and a cdi sitting in a plastic holder. That plastic holder is the battery cover.
Don't unplugg anything, just pull the cdi out of the plastic holder so you can remove the cover.
There will be one screw holding that cover down. remove the screw and lift out the cover.

There is your battery for you to change out, charge, or check.

How do I change the battery in my 2000 Buick Lesabre

The battery for the 2000 Buick Lesabre is under the back seat. I stand inside the car at about the middle of the back seat. Using both hands I pull up sharply on the back seat until it comes up. Remove the seat and you'll see the battery. Changing the battery is the same procedure as any battery. Remove the negative battery clamp first, then the positive, unbolt the battery, and lift it out.
