SOURCE: How do you change the dust bag on the Nilfisk King...

Press the middle rectangular Nilfisk button in the top centre of the machine. The front cover will fold down. There is a greay retaining bracket which clips forward off the top of the old bag. Fold that forward, replace the bag, clip the holder back on, and then close the lid.

How to change bag

Hey, changing the dust bag can be a little difficult. Remove the old dust bag, then using a new dust bag, align the cardboard wiht the bag holder's black grooves. Slide the bag cust into the grooves with the black arrow pointing up.

Since I replaced the bag in my Eureka Rally 2 (this was the first time) the suction has not been working well. Could you please tell me what I could have done incorrectly. Thankyou

The dust bag holder is an important part of this vacuum. Make sure the bag is installed into the holder sliding bag collar into slots to secure.
Make sure the bag is tucked into cleaner. or the bag cover will not latch securely.
Also, the motor and exhaust filters should be cleaned at each bag replacement.
REPLACING THE FILTERS
Filters should be cleaned or replaced when they become visibly soiled or suction power is reduced. Always operate the cleaner with the filters installed to avoid motor damage. The dust bag must be changed and the filters cleaned or replaced if the window of the Clean Filter Indicator changes into red when the cleaner is operating at maximum power and the nozzle is raised from the floor.

Electrolux Model 2100 vacuum won't work

hi from uk may i suggest you remove cover and the new dust collection bag then if you look in the bag compartment there is a gauze filter fitted usually grey in colour ? at opposite end of compartment where bag connects this gauze filter is the outlet from bag compartment that the air exhales when vac is operating ie as vac **** up dust into bag the bag has microscopic holes that allow sucked up air and dust to collect but keeps dust from passing into bag chamber but allows air to escape thro holes and so enter bag chamber then escapes via the gauze filter to outside of vac hope you follow this ?? now if this filter is blocked/never been cleaned/changed ? then the symptoms of indicator bag full light will come on you can remove and wash filter if it is gauze typ? dry and refit then try vacuuming ? or replace filter they are not expensive usually in pack of 3 in uk DO NOT RUN VAC WITHOUT THIS FILTER FITTED ! or you will have some dust in the room ? hope this helps?

Dirt smell

If this thing has a fast-spinning belt in the "head" of the unit, you are smelling the dust that is being collected in the back of the little drive "chamber" and is being heated up by the motor and the friction of the belt. This is a pretty common thing on vacuum cleaners designed like the Oreck. If it is huge bunnies of dust, well then that means there is a leak somewhere...
