Please check the solution here:

1) Find or make an XP install with SATA set to IDE mode
2) Install .NET 2.0 & Intel SSD Toolbox
3) Shut down
4) Connect up your 'bricked' Intel SSD
5) Turn on system
6) Start Intel SSD Toolbox, and the SSD should now show up
7) Start another secure erase on it, and it should go through
8) Your Intel SSD is now unlocked again

Sata cable & pata cable have a any jumper setting

Hi,
The hard drive / optical drive have jumper settings, not the motherboard. PATA has jumper settings, but SATA do not require any. The diagram of the setting is drawn on the hard disk itself below the serial number etc. For SATA, look on the motherboard for the SATA ports. Each port will be named as like SATA 0, SATA 1 etc. If you want the hardd disk to boot first, plug it in SATA 0. and the next device in SATA 1. However, you can also set the first and other boot device from the BIOS itself, in case of SATA.

Intel Rapid Technology off line hard drive?

Open the computer and check cables. 0 is the 1st drive and usually the primary. Then login into BIOS and verify the drive is listed there. It must be.
Crashing may be a sign of hardware failure, but fix the HD problem 1st. Then run chkdsk c: /f/r C being the drive letter from the command prompt.

What ssd do I buy for the acer ac700 atom?

Hi Baaz,

You would need an SSD that has a port for Serial ATA (SATA) 3 Gb/s. A faster one would do, but it will still run under 3 Gb/s. This is because the chipset on your motherboard can only prvide the max speed of 3Gb/s

For the pins, Serial ATA AKA SATA have the same ports, either SATA1,2, or 3

Hope this helps.

Install hitachi p7k500 full speed

Your motherboard MUST have a SATA 3.0 port. It is usually blue or look closely on the motherboard to see where the 3.0 port is located. If your motherboard doesn't have a 3.0 port your hard drive won't be any faster than a normal hard drive.

Will Dell Inspiron 530 support Sata iiI (SATA 3) SSD?

Unfortunately the motherboard of the Dell Inspiron 530 supports RAID 0 5 and the maximum speed will be 3Gb/s that means that the motherboard only supports SATAII. If you want to have a SATA III SSD you will need to change your motherboard.

I have an asrock 775vm8 motherboard. Can I install a ssd drive?

Yes, your motherboard should have 2 SATA ports, however, the SSD won't perform as fast as it could in a newer motherboard. You'll also most likely require a power adapter (molex to sata).
