It sounds like you need to adjust the size of the ice cubes.
If they stick together in a long row, to much water, and then of course if they are too small that is also a problem. All you have to do is remove the outer cover of the icemaker and look for the set screw. It will stand out from the others. and be marked with a Plus and a Minus sign. Whichever you are having the problem with, adjust accordingly. I would try 1/4 turn increments. See how that works after One day and then re-adjust as needed.

The dual water valve (solenoid) that open and let the water from the line when the ice maker calls for it, is leaking and needs to be replaced.

I've experienced this before, and have two solutions that helped. One is, boiling the water prior to putting them into the ice tray. And two, you can fill up your ice tray and then wrap it with aluminum foil. I've heard saran clear wrap also works, but I've used aluminum tin foil - and it helped. I hope this works for you.
