Likely a short on one of your speaker wires. Might be overheating, but a short would be my best guess.

AV receiver vsx-323-k. Why is the HDMI LED blinking and no power?

It is most likely in protect mode. Try holding the ADVANCED SURROUND and power buttons and see if it turns on.

The receiver will not turn on, there is a red led that continuously blinks on far left corner of display

The unit is in protect mode. Try holding the advanced surround and power buttons for around 5 seconds. the unit should turn back on. If it turns back off after a few seconds, then you most likely have a problem in the amplifier that will need to be repaired.

Marantz NR1402 AV receiver Going to standby Mode

There could be a short in one (or more) of the speaker connections. Try disconnecting all speakers and turning on the receiver. If it still switches to standby, there may be an internal problem.

Marantz SR19/U1B 5.1 AV Surround Receiver Unit powers on but will not play audio out of any of the speaker channels. Buttons respond. No further testing could be done with my knowledge.

The receiver could have gone into protect mode as a result of incorrect speaker connection in which case there should be some indication on the front panel.. Check all speaker connections as even a short between wire strands can shut down the receiver output. You may have to open up the receiver to check for open fuses in the output.

My pioneer vsx 921 switched off while playing loud. ADv MCACC is flashing and it is not powering on? What could be the problem?

Your unit is locked in protection mode. Hold the advanced surround button and the power button to turn it back on. If it shutdown right away, then you shorted out the amp and need to take it in for repair.

Power/standby light is lit. When I try to power on, the display shows "digital" then "av surrond", then the unit powers off; the power/standby light flashes. I tried unplugging to reset, but no luck.

you receiver is reporting that the impedance of the speakers is incorrect the manual says that it needs impedance of 6 to 16 ohms and when simultaneously using a and b it needs 12 to 16 ohms. but you receiver is also saying that the problem is with the av surround digital channel so the impedance of the speakers is either too low or too high check the impedance of the speakers and if they are correct try them on another circuit and see if the problem follows the speakers.
Also, it may be that the positive wire is contacting the back of the receiver and grounding out. If so reduce the length of the bare wire and reconnect.
you may have to reset your receiver to clear this state.
turn off receiver or start from the off condition,
hold down surround mode left and right and turn on the receiver hold all 3 buttons till the display starts flashing at intervals of aproximately 1 second then release the buttons, if this fails to work try the procedure again.

Cheers!

The power supply is damaged and needs to be serviced. You have done exactly what you should have to test for an outside issue, it's the receiver.
