Question about Mercedes-Benz Vehicle Parts & Accessories

1 Answer

Hello, My Mercedes MB100 van is missing it's user manual and I need to find out which fuse to replace in order to attempt to fix a silent horn.

Relay looks ok, as does the horn connectors itself. Must just be the fuse.

Horn is inoperable

when you push on the horn pad you should hear a click, if you do then the system is working from the horn pad to the relay as the relay is what is clicking. then you just have to check at the horn connector to see if you have power, if you do then the horn is no good. if you don`t then check the wire from the horn back to the relay for a problem.

A bit of a vague question but if it's overheated, I'd suggest a new head gasket and skimming the head

My 2001chrysler town and country van horn does not work

Check the horn relay to see if it works. Most cars use the same relays for multiple other functions. Check the part number on the horn relay and find another relay that is working that has the same part number. Swap out the horn relay with the known good relay. If that doesn't work, check all the wiring in association with the horn. If all the wiring is sound, then it is probably the horn itself, but that is very rarely the case.

Horn not working on sprinter van

I have the same fault in my 313CDI.
By pushing the alarm button the horn works.
Sometimes the horn worked intermittently so I suspect the wiring/ contacts on the steering wheel?

Horn does not work 97 crown victoria

FIRST I WOULD CHECK THE HORN FUSE OR RELAY ...CHECK YOUR OWNERS MANUEL TO SEE FOR LOCATION PROBABLY UNDER HOOD IN A RELAY STATION BOX.IF THOSE ARE GOOD..THEN POSSIBLE BAD HORN ITSELF OR BAD CONTACT BEHIND THE DRIVER AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL.

Horn wont work on my peugeot partner van

Check (in the order, presented below)
1. horn fuse
2. horn relay
3. horn circuit (you will need tester)
4. horn itself (remove it from car and connect to 12V DC)

I check the fuse and the horn is not working

Check in your owner's manual for the location of the horn relay. It will usually look like a small metal or plastic box that plugs into either the main fuse box or the high amp fuse box under the hood. If your horn fuse is good then most likely the horn relay needs replaced.
