Question about Exercise & Fitness
One day all of a sudden the treadmill blew the fuse. It seemed to be lubricated okay, but I lubricated and try to adjust the belt to be loose to start just to see if the motor would turn the belt. But each time the fuse blows. (Note: the circuit breaker on the front doesn't trip, but in fuse on the lower electronics plate blew the first time. I replaced with similar but now my house circuit breaker trips instead. It's 20 amp and the fuse if 15 amp so I have no idea the why of that.) Hopefully I don't need a new motor.

sounds like your heating element has opened up it was probably partially shorted to the case and this was causing your breaker arcing condition previously

If you're running it on an extension chord they tend to do that, especially if they're really cold or really hot. If that's not it you could try changing the oil, or just check to make sure that's full. Keep in mind really cold oil will work just like it does in your car. Try that and see if it helps.
