As the equipment ages so do its springs or detents , some models of skidsteers have a "zero" pressure ballance adjusting bolt on top of the hydrostat drive housing , and some of them don't , they got them dreaded operator interface modules ,you cant do nuttin with !! anyways look real carefull at base of handles mounting you might see a spring or two that you can change for about five bucks that'll get you going

I have a s175 bobcat and the bucket will not stay knurled when i tilt the bucket up it just slowly dumps it

This is because of oil leaking back out of the hydraulic cylinders. It is ether the cylinders themselves leaking internally or the control valve leaking. Also check to make sure the control valve linkage is not sticking and holding the valve off neutral position

Light is blinking a 7 fault code, what does this fault code mean.

According to the owner's manual for this scooter, flash code 7 indicates a speed control lever fault. This is the lever that you push to go forward and reverse. The lever is attached to a throttle potentiometer to control the speed of the scooter. The lever has to be in the middle or neutral position when the scooter is turned on, if not, you will get a 7 flash code. If the throttle potentiometer is damaged you will also get a flash code 7.
You can try to adjust the throttle pot or try manipulating the neutral position and turning the scooter on and off until the computer sees neutral. This is a potential work around and will cause the scooter to creep forward when running with hands off the throttle lever because there is no zero setting. I usually just replace the throttle potentiometer and this solves the problem. I hope this helps.

Have a 225 bobcat welder wont stay running can add fuel to carberator but if i stop sparing fuel in unit stops??

The fuel pump is one of the probable faults, or the needle valve in carb is stuck in closed position.

If the fuel hose is removed at carb, it should squirt gas as the engine is cranked over. If not, look in tank to see if the screen on the barb threaded into the tank has not clogged up with debris. If it is clean, replace fuel pump.

If it squrits gas- open up the carb and check to make sure the float is able to pull the needle valve down as well as the float level setting. When the bowl is exposed, look for sediment as well.

I have a bobcat 773T with the Kubota engine. It is a 2001 model. All of a sudden when I move the machine forward or backward it continues going forward or backward slowly and sometimes it will either turn...

the screeching sound could be a belt slipping. there should be a neutral adjusment on the valves that the sticks are attached to. its just a matter of finding true neutral.

How do you operate the controls on a Bobcat 843 to make the bucket float.

Not sure on this particular model but the ones that I am familiar with you push the lift/lower handle toward the lower position and continue to push until you feel it pop over a detent and stay in that position. that gives you "float"
Hope this helps
