Check your tv settings for standby mode. It may be set for 10 minutes to turn off if there is no tv signal like a power saver feature. It may not recognize the computer as a signal input. If I put my tv on a channel with no signal, it will turn off automatically after a short time. The same happens if I have it in video mode for the vcr and if the vcr isn't playing, after a short time the tv will turn off.Good luck

Hi , just access the monitor on-screen display (OSD) menu and ensure Monitor input mode is configured for HDMI ( Asus speak the " desired input source" ) - Input select is accessed under tv with arrow icon : change from vga to hdmi

I have an asus Eee PC Seashell series netbook and I'm trying to connect it to a vizio smarttv but it keeps showing "no signal" on the tv

Have you checked these?
1. Input settings in the TV,
2. Cycle the laptop output (laptop screen, external screen, both)

NO SIGNAL PROBLEM

Please check whether the monitor is set to the correct settings. If you feel its incorrect, most LCD/TFT monitors come with an auto set up button which will restore the display to one that usually works. In case it still doesnt work, you might need to connect your pc to a different monitor and check the display settings. You could also try to download the drivers for this monitor and then re-connect the monitor and see if it works.

''no signal'' message on blue screen after watching for 10-30 min

First try another signal input like a DVD player or other source, is the signal displayed ok? Then you have lost the signal on one input from whatever the device is.

"No Signal" but aerial working ok on other tv in house!

Your son more than likely changed the input source. You may be able to change it back by pressing the channel up/down button or you may have to enter the menu on the tv and change inputs that way. PS's will usually connect using a video input using a red/white/yellow cords. You may also want to ensure the connections are in their proper place as I do not know how savvy your son is at changing the setup over to play his PS. If you use a modulator to connect to the TV-either the PS or aerial- ensure that it is powered up also. I hope this has been of assistance to you and thanks for using Fix Ya. If I can be of further assistance let me know.
