Have you removed a wired one many times. If you consistently connect & disconnect. The connector get worn out. The wireless connector is fine. But the receiver connect on the ps2 maybe worn.

My. Is it plug and play? Did you get software with it? Have you contacted the tech support for that component? Ok, now that's out of the way. Try a little alcohol on a cue tip (or whatever you can get in there), something very soft, on the contacts as a first step. Sometimes there IS corrosion that you can't see. Please, no power to the board at that time. Wait 10 minutes and try it. If that doesn't work, take it back. It's too tech to try to fix it without special equipment (very expensive). You can't legally use the chemicals that we did use years ago, but they worked better.

The controller is only connecting with the receptor (plugged into the ps2 controller slot) for brief periods of time, then the light starts flashing and the controller won't work. it is not the batteries...

It may be a matter of distance. Try using the controller at different distances from the receiver (both closer and farther) and see if it helps. If not, there may be interference from another wireless device. Look around for things that might be causing interference, like a nearby wireless router or a wireless internet modem.

If none of those things are present then your remote or receiver are actually broken.

Gamestop Edge PS2 Wireless controller wont work. New batteries and the square control (router) box just keeps blinking green. I pressed the button for reconnect and it still does nothing I need...

If the light on the controller is flashing then the batteries are still good. There is a small reset button on the receiver that came with the controller. use a needle to reset it while it is still in the ps2. make sure that the ps2 is turned on and the green light is flashing on it. it should blink a few times and then the light on the controller should turn red. once it does then press start and your good to go.
Hope this helps!

The Cable could have a break in it, check to make sure none of the pins in the Controller port are bent and if all else fails you will need to buy a new controller port, but try a different controller before you buy a new controller port

The 2 red lights on the right side of the mouse receiver are on.

Hi,

usually the receiver is powered via the connection to the pc. ( ps2 style sockets usually green and purple ) dependant upon make/model of wireless. i would suggest replacing the batterys. on the mouse. these do use more power than the keyboard. roughly 5 to 1 or more.
after replacing the batteries. ( 2 x AA Or 2 x AAA ) press the button on the bottom of the mouse, and should have a button on the reciever. to syncronise the pair together.

In regards to your question, you may have 2 lights on the receiver. 1 for transmit, and 1 for receive.

new batteries should solve this problem.

Thankyou for using Fixya.

I just bought a new logitech cordless action controller, and i tired to connect it to my new ps2, and the green light on the receiver keeps on flashing but the controller is not working, its not connecting...

Make sure that there are no other wireless controllers in the room to interfere with setup. Remove the batteries and start from square one again. I have 4 wireless controllers and had to do this to get each one to sync right.

The things that usually go wrong with KVMs are bent connector pins (usually mouse or keyboard) or the switch itself. Inspect the mouse connector for bent or corroded pins. They are easy to bend and straighten, however, they will eventually break off if you do it often enough. If you find one that is bent the safest way to straighten it is by using a .7 diameter mechanical pencil. Remove the lead, and work the pin carefully into the pencil barrel. Once you have the pin inside the pencil gently straighten it by moving the pencil vertical. If it?s not a bent or corroded pin there isn't a whole lot else you can do other than try to get a warranty replacement or if its expensive enough, repaired.
