My PS doesn't acknowledge my Blood Omen or Soul Reaver games.
Check the text on the back of the game cases. My copy of The Da Vinci Code (UK version) says "This software is only compatible with the PlayStation(r)2 computer entertainment system displaying the [__PAL__] Logo", whereas my Backyard Wrestling: Don't Try This At Home (US version, sent by a friend from Canada), has the legend "THIS SOFTWARE IS COMPATIBLE WITH PLAYSTATION 2 CONSOLES WITH THE NTSC U/C DESIGNATION."
also, check the codes on the left side of the disc, again, The Da Vinci Code has the game's internal ID code as "SLES-54031" and the [__PAL__] logo, whereas BAckyard Wrestling shows the [_NTSC_|_U/C_] logo, and the internal identifier SLUS 20638. The 4 letter code identifieds the country/region it was intended for sale and use in.
If this is the case, then your only option is to buy the games again, from a local retailer, to ensure the correct region, buy a foreign console, or, have your console chipped to play imports/copies. Be warned, however, that not all chips are perfect, and that you may end up damaging your console if you chip it yourself. I chipped my PS2 a while back, to play BY Wrestling, some 3 months later, the chip caught fire. It was a pretty display, but my ps2 ceased to function. permanently.
