You could have a bad connection between the fan motor and the connection inside the freezer, or it could be a faulty door switch or the fan motor itself is faulty.

SOURCE: Evaporator fan did not start running when condenser fan started.

I don't know why there would be much of a delay between the condenser and evaporator fans coming on. If you have diagnosed it as a bad motor, that's probably correct.

But the motor could just need cleaning and lubricating

SOURCE: Evaporator fan motor wont start

WR60X10220 is the part number to the evap. fan motor if your complete model number is this STS22ICPBRWW, which you can verify by locating the label on the machine somewhere and on a label you actual model with serial number will be listed. The Fan motors start winding has gone out on it and when you spin it you're taking the place of it giving the run winding a chance to kick in. This part should run anywhere from $20 to $30 bucks.

Fridges stops working randomly but the freezer works. Then the fridge starts working after a couple of days

When the fridge stops working, can you hear the fan operating inside the unit? It sounds like you have a failing evaporator fan motor. This fan motor circulated cold air from the freezer to the refrigerator.

Frigidaire model frs26rlecsg star and stop continuosly the evaporator fan motor

Fridge FAN CONTINUALLY STAYS ON OR SHUTS OFF WHEN DOOR IS OPENED:

NORMALLY WHEN THIS HAPPENS U EITHER HAVE A DOOR CONTINUALLY OPEN ISSUE OR A BAD DOOR SEAL LETTING AIR IN AND CAUSING FAN TO OVERWORK ITSELF. ANOTHER CAUSE CAN BE DIRTY COILS AND CONDENSER AND LASTLY NOT TO COMMON IS A SHORT IN THE FAN SYSTEM ITSELF. A MORE PROBABLE CAUSE COULD BE BAD THERMISTORS OR EVEN COLD CONTROL THERMOSTAT ( WHEN THE THERMISTORS OR THERMOSTAT DO NOT GET/GIVE A PROPER READING, THEY CAN CAUSE THE FAN TO CONTINUE TO OPERATE AS THEY FAIL TO RECOGNIZE OR REGULATE THE PROPER TEMPERATURE.

Evaporator moter wants to start (BUMPS) ,will not run,Motor is free

System froze because the fan motor stopped working, could be that the fan motor is bad, or if it is a PSC it could be a bad capacitor.

The fan is producing continuous sound. looks like the fan is not rotating. It stops for a while and then, in couple of minutes, it starts again.

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
This usually happens, if there is excess choking from ice in the evaporator coils...The excess frosted ice in the chamber extends to the evaporator fan, thus trying to choke/stop the fan... Whenever the fan gets start pulse from the controls, it hurdles the movement and the noise comes. Remove the blockage to the fan (if any), else you need to change the fan motor bearings...

Best of Luck,

Freezer fan motor making a louder hum noise than usual.

If the refrigerator was closed for a while before plugging the power back in moisture that was left inside the refrigerator will cause the evaporator fan motor will rust on the ends of its shaft. I don't believe the motor is going bad. Usually when that happens they will run for a while and stop or just stop completely.Sea Breeze.

Refrigerator has a clicking sound and does not run

Replace the motherboard (part # WR55X10942) but be careful to check that the evaporator fan (inside the freezer) turns on when you power up the refrig again. A bad evaporator fan motor can take out the motherboard. If compressor starts with new board but not evap fan, unplug immeadiatelly and replace the evap fan motor to save new board.
