What in numbers are the 5 power levels on my Russell Hobbs 2060b microwave

Understanding power levels in microwave cooking can be confusing not only to the beginning microwave cook but also to the more experienced as well. Using the proper level for each food is necessary to produce the best cooking results.
More than 9,000 people participated in our questionnaire on microwaving last fall. We have some of the results back and it's very evident that the correct power level to be used for various foods in microwaving is still a mystery to many. We listed six types of foods and asked which power level should be used for microwaving each. The foods were chuck roast, poached egg, meat loaf, cheese dip, broccoli and proofing (rising) bread.
More people missed the correct power level for microwaving a chuck roast (30 percent power) than any other food. In that category, only 11 percent of the people who had even taken a microwave class got that one correct. More than three times as many people gave the wrong power level as compared to those who answered "Don't know."
We feel that many of the complaints we get from people in their attempts to cook a chuck roast in the microwave oven are because they are doing it on too high a power level. Chuck roasts are not tender cuts of meat and need slower microwaving.
In preparing a poached egg (50 percent power) in the microwave oven, almost one-third of the respondents were able to answer the correct power level. On the other hand, about one-half of those who answered suggested the wrong power level. Again, we feel the complaints we hear concerning poached eggs in the microwave oven being like rubber balls are because many people use too high a power level for this delicate food.
Microwaving a meat loaf on the proper power level (70 percent is best but it can be done on 100 percent) was answered correctly by about two-thirds of the respondents. We feel this is one food item more people prepare successfully in comparison to other types of meat cookery in the microwave oven.
Preparing a cheese dip (70 percent power) in the microwave oven on the correct power level was answered correctly by about one-third of the respondents. Cheese has a tendency to become tough and rubbery if too high a power level is used for melting or cooking.
Proofing bread (10 percent or 30 percent power) was correctly answered by one-third of the respondents. For many who answered "Don't know," they mentioned they did not know what the word "proof" meant. Proofing is the leavening or rising of a yeast dough before baking. Although many manuals suggest 30 percent power for bread proofing, we feel using 10 percent yields better results.

Leaking Radiator Quick Fix

In a quickness if you have a leaking radiator and can't get it repaired asap, then crack and egg into your radiator (try for just the egg white). just like a poached egg. It will cook and plug up and and all leaks. But do not use for a long period. get some radiator sealant/repair. But ultimately get the radiator serviced or repaired, the egg will not damage any of the internal workings of the vehicle so ONE egg and flush your radiator thoroughly to get rid of excess egg. then replace with proper coolant/antifreeze. i have done this to my car and have yet to change it. going on 6 month. thnx

How to use the hellman's egg poacher

Hellmann Free Egg Poacher

See the photo at the site above which states:
"Poaching is one of the healthiest ways to prepare eggs, since it doesn't use butter or oil, but it surely isn't the easiest until now.

The PoachPod suspends the egg like a lily in a lily pond. Simply crack egg into the PoachPod floating in boiling water.

When done, simply pop out a perfectly poached, perfectly shaped egg! Silicone ensures quick, easy, clean release."

THE AMOUNT OF WATER YOU USE IN THE EGG GENIE IS UNCLEAR

Decide if you want soft, medium or hard boiled.

pick the correct scale, and fill to the the number of eggs you have in the cooker, 1 requires more water than 7 because the eggs sit partly in the water. The "timer" is based upon the evaporation of the water over time, the fewer eggs, the less displacement in the water pool, but also easier for water vapor to escape.

My friend bought me a hyundai egg cooker(plu 247959) but the instructions only tell you how to soft boil 2 eggs or hard boil 3! and no instructions of other amounts of eggs or how much water to use or how...

Ignore the instruction manual. Instead look at the measuring cup that comes with your Hyundai PLU 247959 (produced and sold under license by Poundstretcher).
On the side of the measuring cup, you can see three clusters of marks:1. 25 to 40 ml for soft-boiled eggs (symbol of egg with two horizontal lines)2. 45 to 60 ml for medium boiled eggs (symbol of egg with one horizontal line)3. 65 to 80 ml for hard boiled eggs (symbol of egg)
Egg boilers are based on the principle that the larger the volume to be heated is, the less water is required. In other words, you will need to add less water for boiling seven eggs, and more water for boiling one or two eggs.
Which means that for seven eggs to soft boil, add 25 ml; and for one egg to soft boil, add 40 ml. If you look at the markings, you'll notice that on the vertical line between 40 and 25 ml, there are seven equidistant horizontal lines, each showing the amount of water required for the various quantities of eggs.
One egg = fill with water up to the 40 ml markTwo eggs = fill up to the mark below the 40 ml markThree eggs = fill up to the second mark below the 40 ml markFour eggs = fill up to the third mark below the 40 ml mark etc, untilSeven eggs = fill up to the 25 ml mark
Medium boiled and hard boiled eggs are measured in similar ways. Works every time for me. Nice little egg boiler, by the way.

I have a tefal TT550015 toast 'n' Egg and have no instructions on how to use it. Please advise

To use the egg side only, fill the measuring cup with the correct amounts of water. (One side is for boiled eggs, one is for poached eggs.) Pour the water into the basin at the bottom. For boiled- Place 1-4 eggs in the tray with the four holes. Use the sharp thing at the bottom of the measuring cup to pierce the egg shell. Place the lid over top, and hit the 'egg' button. When the light on the button goes out, remove the lid. For poached, grease the pan. Spray/ butter, whatever. DO NOT rely on the non-stick. The thick black tray for boiling eggs goes on first. With the egg in the greased pan (scrambled or whole) place the pan into the unit. There are four plastic pieces in the boiling tray to show you where it goes, the handles aligned. The round tray, with the square holes in it, can be used to warm pre-cooked meat. This is optional, and that tray goes on top. Place the lid over the top, and press 'egg'.

WARNING: this cooks by steam, and any remainder can cause burns. Be careful when removing the lid. Same goes for the product. The boiled eggs should not be touched directly.

To make an egg sandwich, load the egg side and the bread/english muffin/bagel into the toaster. Press the 'egg/toast' button BEFORE starting the toaster. The toaster will start on a timer so that the egg and toast will be done at the same time. When the toast pops up, you are good to go.

Note: there should be no water afterwards, maybe a little oil if you cooked meat. Hard water residue is easily removed with vineger and a paper towel.
