you need a new thermocouple. u can either get one from a plumbing store but the can be a bit fiddley to fit or u can get the proper Brivis one it just pulls out and u put the new one in. then u have to re light the pilot light. make sure u hold it down for at least 45 sec to make sure that it is getting hot enough when u release it it will stay alight then turn gas valve to the on position
Hi. Here are the error codes for your Brivis Heater. Error Codes 30 - relating to speed sensor, 40 - overheating, 65 - motor lock-out. Usually resetting the unit will resolved the issue. In your case, you already reset the unit and problem came back. This will require immediate attention by Brivis technician.
if its between 1992-1999 it would be caused by the either the pilot not staying alight, or a faulty gas valve not opening,
These models start the fan on a time delay not tempreture so you will only get cold air circulating and when the thermostat is off the fan will stop.
(All models) if the fan is running regardless of the thermostat position an over heat sensor is faulty.
I have exactly the same problem. When I have the cover off there is a red light on, from what I can tell is the "Over Heat Fan" this seems to keep the fan on, and because it is in error prevents the system igniting. Haven't got a solution yet it only happened last night. Stu.
I have been without heating for the past month since the fan motor in my ducted gas brivis heater filled the house with smoke.
The guy replaced the fan motor, and then it had the same symptoms as yours.
After a month of various tradesman trying to work it out, it has come down to the "thermal switch" within the unit.
Hi, I have an identical issue with my Brivis. Did you get a solution? Mine can be running, then goes blank and says searching. it will eventually come back. Just wondering if you had to replace the 14100?
