Check inlet light flashing and machine will not start

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France! You certainly do not want to be buying white goods in France- shocking prices aren't they?!!

When you say filters does that include those in the water inlet hoses? Just in case not (following pre-typed!) :-

Washing machine lights on but machine not washing

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

I'm sorry but you have given us very limited information! I am having to guess first at a problem with water inlet. If it's not that please post again but next time with as much other info as possible- such as any noises, can you hear water entering, any fault indications- flashing lights??

Green light on saying wash, cant get start button to light up red, but machine sounds like it going to start but nothing happens

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

It's a possibility that it could be waiting for water to be fed in- difficult for us to judge remotely ;-0(

Wont start cycle

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

With not much information to go on (!), I can offer 2 possibilities:-

If there is power on the machine check the water supply first-

If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(

If there is no power indication-

Check that the washer supply is OK using another item - a kettle for instance. If it's not check your breakers/fuses. Reset/replace if necessary and if the same thing happens, or if there was nothing wrong with the breakers/fuses in the first place, sorry but with such a fault it is virtually impossible for anybody on this forum to remotely guess what could be wrong with your washer. It could be internal wiring/plugs sockets, control panel switches, control PCB.
I fear that your only real option is a service call as the engineer will have the right equipment to safely diagnose what is wrong.

If these have assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

LG's 'PE' stands for 'Pressure Error'- poor water feed.

more than likely its your solenoids which is were the water pipes attach theres 2wires going to these parts try swopping the wires from 1 solenoid to the other 1 after turning power off now turn the power back on and see if it now draws the water if it does then the other solenoid has become faulty
