Question about RCA Digital Stream 7 inch Droid Tablet

1 Answer

My 32 GB SD card is not being Recognized for mounting, while my old 8 GB SD card works fine. How do I fix this?

RCA Tech Support is being unhelpful. Tells me I am inserting SD Card (which only goes in one way) wrong. Then tells me to Try Other Brands. No SD card over 8 GB is being recognized.

The problem lies with your reader not being able to recognize sd cards over 8 gigs. A newer reader will work.

My lg does not read 2gb sd card.it tell me to insert a new one.Bt it can read 128 mb sd card

Your 2 Gb is not just an SD card, it is a SDHC card. The first 2Gb SD cards, still were SD, but 2Gb was the limit for the FAT 16 and 32 format and for the normal SD cards. The same happened with the hard disks. They developed the SDHC card, and made the new hardware downward compatible with the old SD cards. So in a new camera, you can insert SDXC, SDHC, SD and even MMC cards. But the cameras, card readers and phones, who were made for SD, can't use the SDHC or SDXC cards.
SDHC can work with memories up to 32 Gb and from that on, it is SDXC.
There still should be some 2Gb SD cards around, but not sure you still can fine one. The producers of memory cards now only make SDHC cards and up. Perhaps you only can get some 1Gb cards as SD card, but perhaps nobody will ever make these cards anymore.

I mannaged to buy a 4 GB SD card a few years ago, but that was the last I ever saw in the capacity. 25264488-uil2tdgcy05knvgzh4oup5lj-2-0.png

I HAVE ALCATEL T'POP MODEL 4010X .

The model phone you use supports up to 32 GB of storage. So a 64 won't work but up to a 32GB will.

8 Gb SD card not recognized by Minolta DiMage Z6 digital camera. What is maximum size SD card this camera can address?

The Z6 works with MMC and SD cards. Your 8GB card is actually an SDHC card. While SDHC cards will fit into SD slots, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use MMC or SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

New sandisk 8 gb sd card reports memory error when inserted in camera. other cards work in camera. card is recognized by laptop. tried reformatting by Vista

There are no 8GB SD cards. Cards this size are SDHC (High Capacity). SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

Sd card not recognizable

I read the following spec for your camera: Recording Media Internal Flash Memory 64MB Video/Image
SD/SDHC Up To 32GB Video/Image
So, I think that an 8 GB SD card should work.

Try another capacity and brand to make it work.

Sansa c240 and a 4 GB Micro SD HC card.

Sansa C240 can only read SD cards that are NOT SDHC - that means it can only read up to a 2gb Micros SD card.

8 GB SD card

Hello, unfortunately SD cards are getting larger and larger capacities and your Compaq is only able to read Max 2Gb.
However there are external card readers that will read your 8Gb.
Hope this FixYa's problem?

Micro SD card is no longer recognized

make sure the card is 1 gb or less - a Sandisk card would be best since it's a Sandisk player
