right click "my computer", left click properties, select "Device Manager" Expand anything to do with "Network Adapters" and make sure there are no problems / exclamation marks / unknown devices.
If there are, look for your wireless driver on..
depending on your model. if this doesn't work go to www.hp.co.uk and download the driver then install it.
If you can't detect any wireless networks, make sure your wireless card is activated - I believe this involves holding down FN (bottom left of keyboard) while then pressing F2 key at top. after this try try to search for wirless access points points.

I'm afraid glenn is wrong. You're going to want to use FN-F2. Trust me. I'm looking at my N610C right now. And also, you should install the correct driver fro HP. Do not use the most current, as it may cause your computer to crash. Use version 1.00C

You can remove your bios password by reseting your CMOS battery or jamper. You need to open your notebook remove first the battery and all screw at the back of your notebook. You can see there a CMOS battery together with the CMOS jamper. Just read it you can read CLRSCR which means clear cmos, just pull it with in 10 seconds and insert it back. Now you are done to reset bios.

An easy way is to go into control panel and click on network and internet, after you have done this click on internet options, a little screen should pop up and then click delete. once you have pressed delete another little screen will pop up and will have boxes, click on all of the boxes until a tick comes in all of them then press delete.
