Hi Kenny
What device is it?
Are they factory wires or an add-on?
A little clarification would help

Radio shack cb radio trc-481 model no.:21-1550b. i need to know to hook up the wires to my truck

Red wire is the primary power, this can be hooked to a fuse in the fuse block that shuts off with the vehicle, such as the fan or windshield wipers, the white wire is the memory power, this should be hooked up to either the battery (not recommended as you will pick up alot of engine noise), or another fuse that has a constant flow of power...such as interior lights. Not that both red & white have an inline fuse of there own, anything over 2amps will cook the radio.
If interested in operating without the vehicle running, hook both to a fuse in the fuse panel that has a constant power flow, use the same fuse for both red & white, not going over 3amps MAX!
Black of course, is your ground.
*NOTE-any many radios, the better the ground, the less engine noise your radio will pickup, because alot will be flitered through to the ground. Best to run it to the body, for example the bolts that attach your seat to the body...put the wire between the bolt & the floor...this helps create a capacitor like ground.

White is usually always power FROM the S (Starter) terminal of the Key switch to the clutch pedal switch then on to the start solenoid. For briggs and stratton key switch terminal 4 is used for starter power. The model number you passed is for the engine only.

Without your riding mower model number I can not even begin to guess for sure. If you can locate the mower model number I will look it if and see what I can find.

Tri-circuit Diode Wire

Green Connector

with 2 diodes leading to 1 Red Wire and

1 White Wire

Red Wire = 2-5 Amp DC unregulated for

battery charge
White Wire = 2-5 Amp DC negative for lights

This is the usual wiring off of the QUAD regulator.

Yellow Connector 2 Yellow Wires

White Connector

Black Wire = 8 Amp DC unregulated for lights

Red Wire = 8 Amp DC regulated for battery

Small magnets Quad Circuit
20 Volts AC @ stator

I really need an explantion of where your trying to connect to and from. I am thinking your connecting from the engine alternator. IF you replaced the alternator... depending on which alternator you purchased there is a modification that has to be done to wiring harness of the alternator to the regulator.

Whats wrong?

the black wire goes to - and the red goes to + for 12 volts. If you want 24 volts you need to add another battery and run a jumper wire from the - of the first battery to the + of the second battery and hook the white wire to the - of the second battery. Here is a picture to help you.

Re sent wire diagram gat all messed up

Hi
have we spoke before in previous post?
the red can go to any 12v live peramanent such as wire to clock or other item that has power with ignition off and the same with the yellow if your putting these to the same permanent live say from clock you can join these to together red/yellow to red on clock
the black can go to any metal or neg wire.
This should then have your device working the only problem im looking at for you now is the pink wire as this stops you using the device whilst driving as it goes to handbrake but i need to find out if its live or negative.
You could just wire the red/yellow to live and black to earth then see if it switches on and works if not then let me know and ill see about the pink wire ok
Makes sure you use inline fuses on the live wires so as not to short the device out.
Make sure you know what is permanent live to put the yellow/red wire to.
It doesnt need to be ignition it only says this so you cant use it with ignition off but you can wire it into any live feed from clock or switches so its up to you what to wire it to its just the pink wire im concerned about.

PINK: does it tell you to put it to live or earth on handbrake switch?

let me know ok
