To use iPlayer from the BBC, you not only need an updated version of Flash player, but you also need to be in Great Britain. Plash should be mention you, as soon as it is needed, when it is outdated and offer you to download a new version.
Check if you can view video from Youtube. That site too needs flash player for most video's.
