Question about Refrigerators
Ice depensor lever has stop working, it depenses water only like the water lever?
EDIT: Go to the end of my reply and try the last suggestion first please? Sorry, I got ahead of myself.
You should cut off the water supply to the fridge and empty the ice receptacle then you can start removing the ice/water dispenser cavity while looking for the switch that the ice dispenser actuates to get the motor turning. I would start there and use a multimeter (VOM) to test the switch, if it checks okay I would then look at the motor that drives the auger (screw looking thing that moves the ice to the dispenser tube).
Though, if you hear the motor running when you hit the switch? The ice could have just fused around the auger and gently as possible, breaking it up may be the fix the problem and you'll be good as new. Put your ear against the freezer door while pressing the ice dispenser switch to listen for the motor as it may be very quiet through all of the insulation without the noise of the ice that usually is getting pushed through?
PS: I would try my last suggestion before emptying the bin and checking the switch and motor as if you hear the motor running this will tell you that the switch and motor are functioning.
