I have a dvl223Eb6ww dryer..heats great but started making a scratching noise that seams to get louder as the dryer gets hot..what could this be..we took it apart and the belt seams fine heating element...

Sounds like you have bearings problems that need need grease. Normally the drum rests on two separate bearings up front and one located at the drum center at the rear. Since you know how to take it apart you should be able to locate the bearings. A mall amount of general purpose grease will do the trick. The scatching noise may come from loose object floating around, may be a shirt button ? investigate.

Good luck and good repairs. A dryer repair is not too difficult since you have already checked to condition of the belt...Here an extra tip for the performance of your dryer, always clean the screen air filter with soap an water to remove the invisible screen deposit by the Fabric Freshner Sheet also called Fleecy. This will allow air flow to exhaus the dryer more freely.

Why does my car squill when I start it. it doesn't keep squilling only when I first start it

Maybe worn belts or belts maybe slightly out of alignment. Try rub a damp bar of soap on the inside of the belts WHILE ENGINE IS OFF. Do NOT try this with running engine, you will lose a finger or two.

The soap will lube it just a little and quiet it, at least for a while.

My dryer is making a very loud, constant squeeking/squilling sound. I took apart the front and top and examined the belt. The belt is fine! The dryer works but even wth my laundry door closed, it is really...

In the back of the dryer there is a ball bearing unit that it rotates on... I have changed these before,
and they all made the same noise you described. Most dryers ( ALL TYPES ) have the same basic design.......This should be your problem....I think they are about 30 or 40 dollars..kinda hard to change also...you will need plenty of room to work in and maybe an assistant to help hold it in place because it has to be centered.

My belt came off my dryer, Help!

You should have a "tension pulley" that the belt goes around somewhere in the belt track. Usually a "wheel or pulley mounted on a spring" which looks like a flat piece if metal. Check to see if it has come out of its positon or the flat spring has broken. You can buy replacements if it has. Simply reposition the belt and push the tension pulley in such a way as to engage the belt correctly. That should fix it.
