Question about Panasonic KX T3281W Corded Phone (KX-T3281W)

1 Answer

A bank of blinking leds??

I have a Panasonic KX T3281 AL Corded Phone on my desk. Its more then seven years old. It has never had a problem.
I returned to my office this afternoon to find the bank of extension buttons on the right hand side blinking in unison. Nothing else has changed.
It dials both lines. Receives calls on both lines. Memory dials numbers.
But nothing I have done will stop the lights blinking.
I have cycled the power off/on several times allowing the unit to rest with no power for several seconds. When powered up the blinking just continues on. Help ! I'm and IT guy and know its trying to tell me something :-) but I don't know what!

Re: A bank of blinking leds??

The blinking LEDs means it need to have it's ID reprogrammed. Press the Program button and then the station number (Station 1 or 2 or 3 etc) to store the setting.

Hi I am working at the Switchboard. I have a Panasonic KX-T7730 that is seven years old. Every office has an extension code and a name. I want to change the display names of the extensions as it still...

This has to be done on Ext 101, or whichever phone is the programming phone. Press program *#1234. Then enter in 004. Press Speakerphone. It should be asking for a jack number. You can press speakerphone again to go to the first ext. Spell out the name using the keypad (2 is A, B and C and so on). When done press the autodial/store button. Then you can press speakerphone to go to the next phone. To get out of programming just pick up and hang up your phone or press the program button.

I used to have the Panasonic KX-T7630 system in the office building we sold. I no longer have the capability of setting the entire system up - is there a way to use the phone as just a regular desk phone...

The KX-T7630 is a proprietary digital phone that will only work on panasonic phone systems. You need an analog phone if you are going to connect it directly to an outside telephone line.

Make sure the Auto Answer button is not lit on the empty desk phone, then you could use either 40 to answer all calls, or 4+ the extension number to absolutely answer that phone.

Caller Id on phone

If you have it on other Panasonic phones, it should be automatic if the phone is made to ring.

If you don't have it, you need to call your Panasonic dealer. It requires hardware and programming.
