Sandra, the contacts in bell push may need cleaning, as well as some minor readjustment of the contacts. Insects love to get into the bell push and can clogged it up. If you find that this doesn't solve the problem, Contact the Zenith Company 800-858-8501 to purchase a replacement.

SOURCE: will my wireless bell push work with another manufacturers door chimes?

Doubtful they are compatible. If they are set by dip switches and you set them the same bot doesn't work-not compatible.

Setting the codes for the door chime

Presuming that you are asking how to set codes for the Desa International door chime, here's a solution:

There are two components of the Desa door chime --- the ringer assembly and the door button. Inside each component is a set of eight pairs of pins and several square-ish plastic jumpers. To set a code, you must push jumpers onto the pair of pins for each of three different numbers. (You may find that you have more than three jumpers. If so, the others are spares which you can tell because they will only be covering one of the two pins in a pair.) Whatever three numbers you choose, the ringer and button must match exactly. 5-6-7 seems to be the default set-up as delivered from the factory. This is only a problem if anyone else in the neighborhood also has a Desa chime with this setting. If you use pin 8, the ring changes from a two-tone chime to a 16-note sequence.

Good luck!

I have a blyss 850 door chime the plug in unit is working but the remote battery unit is not.How do i synchronise them together?

You have to move the jumpers around so that both the bell and the button has a unique code but must be identical between the two. There may be an extra jumper location to choose what ring you want or for the button to become a front door or back door button. I have seen a lot of buttons fail recently. I tried doing resoldering on one. Sometimes it is an ic failure, if so return to the store. Also many of the plug in style bells need to have line of sight. They don't work through concrete or many walls etc.

When door bell is pushed the chime unit playes through all of the songs instead of just one.

The unit is receiving electricity so low-voltage transformer and button are working correctly.
Only suspect left is door chime itself.
Check that voltage of transformer matches voltage of chime.
Use cheap multimeter from home center and check voltage at chime, or check transformer.
Doorbell transformers are usually located in basement or garage or attic, and most are hardwired into octagon box.
There are no replacement parts for door chimes.
Buy new one, or contact seller for refund if this is new chime.

My door bell system does not ring. I changed the batteries and now both batteries for the button and receiver are good. What else could I do? Thanks, Yuanshui

These units (not just this brand) seem to be notoriously under-powered, particularly if there is any substantial structure (brick, stone, etc.) between the pushbutton and the chime unit. Try to locate the two pieces as close to each other as possible. If practical, mount the pushbutton unit on the door itself instead of the door frame (but only if the door is NOT made of metal.) *Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, despite the handle. From User Guide: Interference from a similar unit operating nearby: a) simply remove the batteries from the push button and door chime units and rest for 10 seconds, this will erase memory b) Insert the batteries into the push button and door chime units, the door chime unit will give 2-beeps to indicate that it is ready for the new registration code. Press the Push Button once, it will generate a new operation code randomly and send a wireless ignal to the door chime unit and it will sound to indicate that new operation code is registered and memorised.
(Note with this unit SX85R the door chime is mains powered, not battery powered, but above instructions are the same)
