Connect an external USB keyboard to your laptop. If it works ok, your problem is the keyboard nd you should install a new keyboard; if fails too, it's a software issue

It's a Roland HP-7e digital piano about three years old.

You may need to clean the contacts which are usually conductive rubber. I explained stuff for another Roland problem with two keys that were intermittent. I have an EP-7 that I had to do the cleaning of the key contacts. Use 91 or 99 % Isoprophyl alcohol to clean BOTH the conductive "pill" (Black under silicone rubber domes) AND the traces on the board where they press. Clean gently as the traces have a hard black coating.

How to turn on the 10-key number pad

does the keys 7-0, u-p, j-;, and m-/ is working under MS-Dos command or not? If not the problem could be the carbon of you keyboard is worn-out, you have to cut the carbon of your keyboard that has connected on the motherboard, but before you cut take off the plastic of the caron atleast 1/2 inc. and cut the old carbon. Make sure that you turn off your power before you do anything. If still the same problem it means that some carbon inside of the keyboard is already worn-out, you have to replace the whole keyboard. Remember if some keys are not working this is hardware related not software nor setting.

Pointer has frozen on my laptop

ouchpad must be worn out if laptop is used for many years. But if that's not the case, I would suggest buying a USB mouse, and connecting it to the laptop. If that doesn't work, try taking it to a nearby computer store, or somewhere you can trust to get it fix.
My old laptop had the similar problem, took it to a place and they cleaned and added a new touch pad for it. Good luck.

OK Button does not work

Your OK button is like computer keyboard keys. There is a pad behind the button that pushes down onto the circuit board and makes contact. Sometimes the pads get worn and need cleaning or the pad gets old and stays down and your menu goes crazy, just like a stuck keyboard key. If they need cleaning, then let a reliable photo repairman clean the contact. If the board contact is bad, then the board is replaced. Sorry to advise you that this is not a DIY fix because I've seen many cracked LCD's from amateur attempts to open DSLR backs then the problems just get compounded. Seek a good source of camera repair. Thanks for asking Fix-Ya.

I have Sigmatel too. try this website. I have been working three days on my computer. i tried new drivers (said i didn't need them. i actually went to a message board where people had a similar problem and downloaded (clicked on) a patch (3 small zipped files that were registry keys). It was really scary to trust a two year old message in a message board from a stranger but it restored my sounds instantly. I did back up the registry first. I had deleted codecs (xvid) that i never used and my system sounds disappeared. If this doesn't work, keep googling phrases and look for message boards. good luck
