Had juice to coil no spark/ new coil pickup plate, now no juice to coil

With some makes and models, primary voltage to coil, goes hot with the key on. Sometimes when doing a lot of testing, it can run the battery down. Have to make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good.
I need your year--make--model, it didn't post for some reason?

What is the A-coil that is compatible with furnace model KG7SC072D24B?

Looking at the model # it appears that you may have a 2 ton unit. Evaporator coils come in different sizes -

You should be able to get the correct size by providing the A/C repair company with the name of the manufacturer and the Model Number.

Generic coils, should you need one because yours is no longer being manufactured, do come in all different sizes.

I don't know if you want to replace the evaporator coil or have a service company do it. But if you do there are some things you need to know.

If the unit is an older unit the evaporator coil along with the box it sets in needs to be replaced because the drain pan is probably rusted out.

Additionally the box the new coil sits in is is going to be different in size then the original.

So a transition will need to be made from the furnace to the new A-coil box.

So with all that being said - if you have a credible A/C company replacing the coil you won't have any problems with them finding a replacement coil. They are in the business of doing this type of work and come across this situation all the time.

Lawn mower not sparking any ideas

pull the wire going to kill switch - recheck for spark if spark grounding switch, if no spark

pull wire off the coil retest if no spark faulty coil indicted

but be sure that unit is not a point model coil 1st
if a point model coil you will see a approximatly 10 mm gap on either side of coil winding and armature legs where it mounts
if briggs coil that is , if so most likely point and condensor need replacing

but if a magnetron coil unit then magnetron is faulty
replace it & set air gap to 0.010 " and reconnect kill wires

cheers paul

My Husquvarna Model 61 coils are not working I need a new coil where will i get an old chainsaw for spare parts for my machine now? I am in Sydney, Australia

check and search on E Bay mate, search for "Chainsawa' and "husquvarna", you should be able to pick up something cheap, also the coil from other Husquvarna models may fit, example, a 36 model coil, may fit a 61. A new coil is available from any mower and chainsaw shop, cost about $80.

Looking for evaporator Coil number for Carrier Model 24ANA736

Are you replacing or adding an evaporator coil to this system? If replacing, please give us the model # (and product #) of the evaporator coil. If you can't find one for it, we will need the air handler (or gas furnace) model # so we can help you match it up.
If you just want the condenser coil for that condenser, the part # is 331230-7035.

Roper dryer ignites then shuts off

You need to replace the coils (comes 2 in the kit ) on the burner valve .Remove the front panel and the 2 coils on the valve are hold on by a bracket with 2 screws . Unplug the coils (no need to turn off the gas ) and replace , makeing sure the little dot is in the hole atop the bracket . When the coils get hot from electricity going thru them , one will "short" internally , until dryer cools down . Then will work for a short time and stop heating again . When you go to get the coils , take the model number off the plate (open the door and there will be a model/serial number ) and take it with you . If you had listed the model number here , I would have given you the part number .

Jerking bad when driving replaced coil lead plugs ok coil lead sparking outside coil

Is it sparking between boots or is it from the boot to the engine? You need to use dielectric grease on the boot on the coil to stop leakage of voltage between coil towers, I can't find the 2006 laser so chose a model similar to that model. With the engine off and you pull the spark plug wires put a little bit of the special grease on your finger and put it on the inside of the boot of the spark plug wire at the coil and at the spark plug. Be sure to not get any on the spark plug metal tip or on the metal on the coil pack. When removing the spark plug wire from the coil and plug be sure to twist it with the engine being cold so that you don’t ruin the spark plug wires. This should stop the leakage, if not then you have a defective coil/ coil pack and need to see if there is a carbon track or a crack in the coil assembly itself, let me know if this helps and get back to me if you need more assistance.

I need a coil for a split unit intertherm unit I dont know the model but the moble home is a 1998

That's not going to cut it. You can't just stick a coil on a system. You will need model # of furnace and most importantly the model # of the outdoor unit in order to find a coil that is an appropriate match; otherwise, you will probably end up shooting yourself in the foot and spending alot more in the long run to fix mistakes. I recomend contating a local professional to help you.
