Hi, this is Jim with Crucial Vacuum,

Try manually rotating your vacuums brush roll to see if you can remove the ear buds without completely destroying them. If this proves difficult use a scissor to cut them out and untangle them from your unit. Better to have broken ear buds then a completely broken vacuum.

Since you're checking the bottom of your vacuum anyway make sure the belt is still wrapped around your brush roll. Often times when objects like this are sucked up into your vacuum they can loosen a few essential parts to keep your vacuum from performing optimally. Look to see that the belt has a good bit of tension. You want to be sure the belt is on there nice and tight.

I hope these tips can be of help. If you're looking for replacement parts to your Bissell 3522 you can purchase them directly from Crucial Vacuum with free shipping and an exclusive 10% coupon for Fixya.com readers, use code: FIXYA10

Or you can take it apart if the ear buds are expensive and get the buds off the roller; and while it is apart do a good cleaning on the machine. kill two birds one stone. Good luck

Suction stopped. Roller and belt working-in fine order. Checked hoses have not found any blockage. Blowing out air or sucking so little can't feel it with hand on hose end. Help!

Either a blockage or the main air filter is blocked , some it can be washed and others it must be replaced

I would check the owner manual and look at the filter, foam ones can and usually have instructions where they install to wash them.

Dyson DC17, front roller motor stopped

Are you sure it's dead? The motor will turn off if there's too much resistance. Unplug the vacuum, remove the obstruction, plug it back in and then firmly press the beater brush on/off button which is located next to the main on/off button.

I accidentally sucked up a thin belt that wrapped around the bristles and stopped the bristles and now the bristles wont turn

You need to remove the thin belt from the roller if you haven't already. Check the ends of the roller to make sure there is nothing there stopping the roller from turning. You can try turning the roller with your hand using minimal force.

I believe this unit has a switch on the front of the handle for the brush motor. It may cut off if the roller gets hung up. Have you tried turning this on?

In summary try cleaning everything off of the roller and then check for the switch that I mentioned. Let us know how you make out and good luck!

My eureka 437 stopped sucking

Hello,
I believe the filter on your vacuum is clogged. Bagless vacuums require the filter be brushed or washed and dried, If they are not, the filter will clog, resulting in the reduction of suction. Clean filter about every 3 months or sooner if the same problem happens again. Hope this helps.

When you lower the handle on the electrolux, you will see a little button on the top of the base . This is a reset button, turn the vaccum on and push the resrt button and it should start working again.
